[proposal] multi5 translation project

Multilanguage track down of all text in the games, sort by scenes, objects, characters & moments so that it can be printed and used to read all the dialogues (using the pause option and searching on the print the right fact to read) in game in the selected language.

It can be done with a document containing all the lines of text (we're praying the banana god to let us have it ... heard that, Telltales ?) and a lot of effort by this HUGE community.

Any thoughts ?

ok, I know it's a big megalomaniacal but ... just an Idea ... in some month we can do it since the community is big.

Nice idea, but I don't think Telltale would be willing to give us their source code or taking the effort to extract the text out of the game.
I have no Idea how their engine works, if all the text (and I'm not speaking of the text on textures) is written into a seperate file, which can easily be exported, changed and importet into the engine again... still I don't think Telltale would give that away just like that.

I would prefer if professional translators would work on the game. Altough even professional ones can produce crap. :)

I don't think they would let us do that. Even though the advantage would be that the people who translate the texts are G/F/Sp/I native speakers who are doing this because they love the game, not for money.
I'd gladly make suggestions for the German version (e.g. how to replace the untranslatable jokes by other ones).

This project could also be done "the hard way" (i.e. sentence-by-sentence translation).
