Too Easy?

Hi everyone,

I absolutely loved TOMI, I think the telltale team has captured the spirit of the franchise perfectly. The humour is spot on and I think it feels just like one of the previous games. My only problem is that none of the puzzles were really monkey island-y. I breezed through the game and felt sad that it finished so quickly with no real challenge. I love telltale already and plan on buying into a lot more series but for the next one I really hope that you guys make the puzzles a bit more difficult like the old games. I've played on the homestar games on my friend's computer and they were pretty much the same; really fun but really easy.

Overall...Thank you telltale for creating a game us fans needed, but for the next one please make the puzzles a bit harder. If anyone agrees, let me know and maybe chapter two will be "use jojo on pump"tastic!

Cheers,

Luke

I wouldn't say it was really easy, in fact I think they got the level about right. I didn't longer on one puzzle for too long (with no hints, you did put the level right down too I presume?)

Seeing as how many people ARE stuck enough to ask to for hints on this forum, I dont think its too simple.

Yeah i took hints completely off, but even so I found occasionally Guybrush would still basically tell you what to do. Can't remember specifics but something near the ship I did something and he gave you a really obvious clue. Again I hate to critisize because i really am so happy that this game exists but I also know how dedicated telltale are to their fans so I thought it'd be good to at least share my thoughts.

Difficulty depends on your experience with former point and click adventures. I loved ToMI, my first point 'n click game, so I thought I'd give CoMI a try. Though I loved the humour and style of the game, the puzzles where way too obscure for me and a lot of them had to be solved by trial and error. For me, ToMI offers the better gaming experience. Puzzles can all be solved by thinking stuff through.
I can see why some people would find this game too easy, considering the difficulty of former installments of the series. The telltale approach is a good thing though, there's more people able to enjoy the game which means better sales and hopefully more monkey craziness.

Hope this posts. I tried before and it screwed up the forum before, sorry guys!!

I totally agree. I turned off the hints completely hoping that it would be difficult yet there were little hints in the game that spoiled it for me. Aka when you pick up the cannon balls and view them Guybrush says something about knocking a pirate off his feet or something. I know this might sound picky but i loved the feeling of being so frustrated over a little puzzle whereas this game seemed to flow effortlessly. I made sure that I viewed every detail and said everything i could to each character just to make the story last longer. Saying that though, i love the story line and characters and all the little references that you've put in and i absolutely LOVE the puzzle where you're in Desinge's (i think thats how you spell it!) chair!! I can't wait for the next one to come out.

I played without hints and I thought the difficulty was perfect .. Some sections I got through quite nicely while others required more thought.. Every players different so combined with the hint system telltales done a really good job on this
