Do you ever waste water?
I waste a lot of water by taking long showers. My showers are long because I sing and dance for the first 20 minutes. LOL I know its wasteful but theres plenty of water where I live.

Yeah I take really long showers every day.
I never used to take long showers, but my shower has been broken for over a year, so I have to take a shower at the gym. At the moment, my showers tend to last a while because they're kind of like a luxury to me right now. Although, I don't take showers as often as I used to since I only go to the gym a few times a week. I mostly clean myself by using the sink at the moment, which doesn't use a lot of water, so I guess it evens itself out in the end.
I've occasionally just sat down in my shower and let the water run over me for like 30 minutes in the past.
I take extremely long showers. That's not a problem where I currently live, but it's one of the big reasons why I would never move back to California. (Sorry, Telltale!)
Not as much, I used to waste a lot of time in the shower.
Now that I'm paying the water bill, I get in and out quick and turn the water off while I'm scrubbing.
My showers usually last 5 - 60 minutes.
Depending on what day it is. I do admit I'm wasteful.
I don't know how I could ever be in perfect relaxation without my 15-minute shower extravaganza! So yes, I'd say I do.
I think we all waste water in some way. I drink lots of water, when I'm drinking coffee, cooking and shower for 20 minutes. Plus when I wake up I wash my face and brush my teeth. So, yes. I do waste water.
Normally I just take a bath after workouts. My showers are usually long (+1 hour) so I try to avoid them and just take a bath (normally baths use more, but with my shower times my baths use less.) I like to think I'm conservative with my use in regards to things like dishes and laundry (I'm certainly not conservative in regards to soap.) I drink a lot of water. Like, lots. Between 1 1/2 or 2 gallons daily.
Although sometimes I like to dump fresh water on the ground where thirsty children can see it. I do it until there's only a little left then make them fight for it. The winner gets the prize of lifetime employment in my diamond mines.
So no. I like to think my water use is both productive and conservative.
Yes. Everyday I fill up buckets of water and just throw it at stuff.
Edit: Oops posted this at the wrong spot, but what I say still holds true! Sometimes I throw it at orphans
That's a big time gap lol
I take long showers. But they never last for more than 15 minutes. So, yeah I'll admit. I'm kinda wasteful.
im wasteful, but i try not to anymore. in the summer i take barely 5 min to shower, but now its gettin colder and i take a bit longer. i like the warmness. but really hate seein anything open wasting water
I used to shower for way too long but I don't waste time in there anymore.
The only times I waste water is when I have the occaisional long shower (10-15 mins).
Luckily for me, Ohio is one of the most rich states with underground water. I have well water, with a endless supply.
I only take 10 minute showers at max. I probably waste it some other times though.
I try my best to waste as little water as possible, but that is a COMPLETELY different story in the shower... :P
Thread: I guess that long showers really do use a lot of water.
I didn't think that it used that much water when I take a long shower. I know that I am really stupid but today when I took a shower I plugged the hole up to see how much water the shower uses. In the middle of the third song, the tub was already full. That sure filled up fast didnt it. Since I am used to listening to about 8 or 9 songs while taking a shower, I took the washrag out of the hole and finished my shower
Let's say that each song is 3-4 minutes long... you spend 24-36 minutes in the shower?
I think he might be mixing showers and baths up, even then, no one bathes for that long.
Well duh. Haven't you ever read the back of a shampoo bottle?

Well my normal time in the shower is 25 mins. But i live in brazil. (Right now i am in USA) And in the winter, it gets cold in the houses. So if is really cold in the house, i take 50 mins or more in the shower because i don't want to get out of the hot water and into the freezing air. So ya i say i am wasteful.
i take long hot baths, then i have a short shower afterwards, but before i have the shower, i half empty the bath and fill it with cold water so that i am used to colder water when i have a coolish shower, because i don't want to be hot and sweaty when i get out of the shower.
you could say that is wasteful, but i don't live in a drought or anything like that.
