I loved it, but... (I hope you're listening Telltale)
I really enjoyed the first episode. It was a very nostalgic experience and miles above that horrid, offensive little title called "Escape from Monkey Island" in terms of quality and enjoyment.
My only real problem is with the music. It's so, I don't know... understated, I guess is the word I'm looking for. I'm a huge fan of Michael Land's music and I consider "The Curse of Monkey Island" to have one of the best soundtracks ever. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard he was doing the music for "Tales".
Well, the music in "Tales" was about 3 steps back in the wrong direction from "Curse". It almost sounds like MIDI and it's so in the background that it's hard to hear. After the punchy, "in your face" soundtracks of Sam & Max and Wallace and Gromit, well the music in this game is rather wimpy, comparitively.
What, I'm trying to say is: Use more live instrumentation and pump the volume up a little bit.
Or maybe I'm being a little nitpicky. (?)

Well you could always alter the settings so the sound effects are low and the speech and music are high
Good job over all though. Music's not great, but it'll do.
