Zork?

Any chance a zork game will be created, seems that tell tales touch on the old classics, why not touch on the first kinda 3d environment game with videos etc intragrated... it would be really cool, and the three visual zork games released are really wity... might be a good laugh..

Somebody is currently running a weird web game set in the Zork universe: http://legendsofzork.com/

It's... interesting. I haven't played in a while, but I remember being put off by its relative lack of interactive things. It's an RPG, and you have a lot of control over your character's skills... but the battles and explorations just play out instantly so it feels very unsatisfying, and lacks any feeling of adventure.

Just throwing that out there. It's a real, licensed game (though free), so the Zork franchise is alive, in this weird form. Don't know if they have exclusivity on it, so Telltale could probably license it too if they wanted

Hard to be an "Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person" without going to first-person mode.

And I think all the Grue jokes have been taken.

Nothing can beat the epicness of Zork that was; open glass container, pick up hammer, close glass container, use hammer on glass container, pick up axe.

My husband is playing the zork online thingie... the combat system is pathetic, I mean.. i'm all for dice rolls but i'd like to feel I had SOME sort of you know.. strategy instead of just luck.

I wish I could get Nemesis to work... it keeps crashing after one of the puzzles *sigh*

I have every single Zork game ever published. Ever. Apart from The Grand Inquisitor, which, when I played the demo, seemed like the best of the 3D ones!

I loved Return To Zork, absolutely loved it! But I never really got Nemesis, I think I got to a point where I managed to pick something up, but I just didn't get it...

Maybe now I'm a bit older, I might give it another crack!

I also loved Zork, up until Nemesis, which I was never able to quite get working correctly. I liked the way Infocom crossed it over into Enchanter as well. Crossovers are cool when you can create a storyline where it actually makes sense!

i suspect we have someone stil raw about the DC Vs Marvel crossovers? :p

zork was great, it's just a pity the series can't really evolve. Can you image a zork fps on the 360? Lol

"It is dark. You are likely to be beaten by a noob."

    "You can't get ye grenade."

"Hax! You have been kicked from the server. Your final score is 100GS out of a possible 1000GS. (N)ew game? (L)oad game? (E)xit? (R)agequit?"

How about Zork With An Attitude?

It is pitch black. How do you feel about that fancy-schmancy expensive dual turbo overclocked graphics card system now, HUH YOU SPOILED BRAT??? I hope you get eaten by a grue.

I think a real time first person perspective would confuse anyone in the attic..

Can you imagine it? It is pitch black, you are likely to be eaten by a grue. Unless you have great vision or the brightness turned up you can't see the ladders to get back down :)

    Some things should stay text!
