TMI - Black Menu

On startup everything looks fine, but main menu is black with only words visable. On starting the game the sea is normal and sound is fine, but black holes float along where Im guessing maps or company logos would be. Anyone else come across this, or am I alone?

    I've got the same problem.. really weird, i'm not able to increase the quality or change anything in the settings except for subtitles and pop-up text.

    we suffer the same problem!!! =(

    can anyone help us??

    When we start up the game, we also have letters, but no background but a black one.
    we can't see anything on the black things on the water where something should be written, we think!! (lucas arts and tellgames logo!! )

    the piece of paper (vodoo receipe) everything is BLACK!!!!! =( !!!

    Put me down for this one too.. Got as far as needing recipe but more black.

    Do you have old Graphics Cards?
