X-com 2.....

Amazing game....but let me tell you. Angry Joe described X-com:Enemy Unknown's difficulty as it will squeeze your balls hard. 2 will do the same, but then look you in the eye and inform you that one of your nuts has a lump on it and you need to get it checked out.

But Damn is it ever fun...and when you pull out an improbable victory, you really feel good about it.

Anyone else playing this?

  • I wanted to buy it, but I hesitated when I saw the mixed review on Steam and almost every mission is timed, which is a turn off.

I am going to wait a bit.

  • Not every mission is timed...the issue is that the game is harder than x-com. Plus while there are timed missions..the timer can be turned off in some missions by hacking...and in the ones that cannot be turned off....if you run out of time...well the mission was lost way before that. The maps are very fair in terms of layout and yes you will fail a lot before you get the hang of it. But the game is amazing.

  • Well if you can remove timers in some missions, then I don't mind. Also I probably won't mind the higher difficulty.

It makes sense to me that things are harder for Xcom when the entire world is under Alien control.

  • Oops, replying late. ANYWAYS-I was recently in a mission where I reloaded a save point at least 10 times. Yes I'm one of those people but one person had already died and I didn't want anyone else to! D:

But yeah it's fun as ever, but aggravating. Vipers and Codex's are my new mortal enemies.

  • I love Xcom 2.

But Xcom 2 doesn't love me.

  • Way too much money for a poor student. Shame, I loved the first one.

  • Omg...yes those Vipers...grabbed my specialist and everyone missed saving her so she got squeezed to death....iron man setting is fun but I have to admit I was hating life just then.

  • Removing timers is actually the point of the missions, you have a timer to complete an objective, usually hacking then after you do that then it's a nontimed "kill all remaining enemies" objective.
