Luke versus Kenny
Hey, do you think that if the decison on the last Episode of season 2 ( save Kenny or Jane ) , would have been harder for you to make if it was Kenny vs Luke?

Personally I think yes.
I would've easily chosen Kenny, even though I'm not a fan of him. Never liked Luke.
Luke versus Jane would have been much harder. The fact that almost 80% of people shot Kenny just shows that this wasn't a tough decision at all.
No. Id do the same.
I preferred Jane over Luke so personally it would've been an easier choice for me if Luke was there since I was never a fan of his, but I would think it would be an easier choice for most people because I see a lot of Luke love on these forums so I'd assume more people would side with Luke if he was there than if Jane was.
I would choose none of them.
I would still pick Kenny because Luke didn't seem to care much for his friends.
Can I choose neither? Both options don't seem all that better than one and another to me.
Luke was originally my first choice, but given how I was disappointed in his characterization throughout Season 2, I'm hesitant to choose him.
Definitely Kenny for me.
Luke on the surface is a nicer guy and has better morals.
Kenny is a more interesting character, has more charisma, had more entertaining scenes, more emotional scenes, more potential to drive the games foward... and just generally a better character in almost every way in my opinion. Jane vs Kenny was a harder choice for me than Luke vs Kenny would have been, even though it was still comfortably Kenny. The way I play it, there has to be a sort of hierarchy when it comes to these choices and choosing characters. The only characters I would choose over Kenny is Lee (because he was best character in the game) and maybe Clementine, as she was a kid, the main character in season 2 and also pretty interesting.
I would have chosen Luke, for the same reason I chose Jane. I couldn't just have Clementine stand by and let Kenny murder somebody all because the game portrayed the character at that moment as accidentally having gotten a baby killed in their care, and showed no malice intent or pleasure from it.
But it doesn't change anything. The setup of hiding the baby to create a forced showdown was stupid. Whoever would've been there in that situation, I still would've hated it. If we're talking about if it had made the decision any less difficult having Luke there, then no, because regardless I couldn't side with Kenny in those circumstances. I'd be lot less bitter about the plot twist sure, but that's it.
For it be a more difficult choice, the circumstances would've had to of been made as such that it was, but it just wasn't.
I would have gone with Luke as an easier choice. As it is, I chose Kenny over Jane - not because I liked him more than Jane, but because I replayed it for the Wellington ending as a last-ditch effort to find Christa, who I still wanted my Clementine to be concerned about. Otherwise I had no preference between Kenny and Jane.
If Luke was replaced with Jane, for one I think the circumstances would be very different, because I can't see Luke being irresponsible enough to leave the baby in a car. He cared a lot for his group and I don't think he would endanger the last living member besides himself to prove a point. Jane had no connection to AJ so it was slightly more understandable why she would do that. So Kenny and Luke would have had to fight for different reasons.
When I was playing the game, my loyalties all came down to who I thought would take better care of Clementine. For a while I was attached to Pete, then Carlos, then without much choice left, Luke, because Kenny at the time was furious with Clementine about Sarita's situation. I never felt my Clementine was very safe with Kenny. He was far to rash and hot-headed, and if he wasn't directing his temper at Clementine, he was directing it at someone who could hurt Clementine, like Carver and the Russians. He saved Clementine at his own sacrifice and I admire his willingness to leave Clementine and AJ in Wellington, but I would not want Clementine to be in his long-term care.
I liked Luke much more. He was more level-headed, and while he might have had Clementine get herself into some dangerous situations when trying to find safety for his group, I think he would have been able to take much better care of her and AJ after his group died since he wouldn't have to spread himself thin leading so many people.
I think it would have been harder. I think I would have chosen to go with Luke.
I don't think he did. If Nick and/or Alvin die in episode 2, he doesn't ask where they are at all. If Nick dies in episode 4, he doesn't seem concerned about him despite being his friend for 20 years, his only reaction is "Fuck, fuck...", then he changes the subject, he was like "Fuck, I'm sorry, Nick. Ok guys, now we should get the fuck out of here". Despite being with her for many months, Luke gives up on Sarah, he replaces her with Clementine, he never felt remorse when she died and he didn't even try to save her when she fell off the deck like shoot walkers nearby or order Mike and Bonnie to help her. He didn't even do a job to watch the group, he accepted Jane's offer like an idiot when there was a baby about to come out.
I liked Luke but I still would have chosen Kenny
I think Luke was too soft and wouldn't be able to make the choices Kenny (and Jane) would be capable of making
I chalk a lot of that up to bad writing in Episode 4 (because everyone's characterization was pretty inconsistent and lazy that episode, not just Luke's). Mostly because all previous episodes DID have him caring a lot about his group. He did try to comfort Nick after Pete died, and then wanted to go so far as lie to Walter to protect Nick from getting hurt. Whe Alvin dies in Episode 3 Luke is upset and tries to comfort Rebecca. Luke still voices a lot of guilt when Sarah died in the RV, I don't really see where he didn't show any remorse. I think he was trying to justify it because Jane was, but he was pretty obviously upset about it. And throughout most of Episode 3 he deprives himself of sleep and food so he can try to help his group escape. So yes, I still think he cared a lot about his group.
