Story-Based games with friends...

Some Backstory:(Personally, I play Telltale games with a friend. It all started with the Walking Dead Season 2. We loved reacting to scenes together as if it was some cool movie. (Actually, it kinda is.) After that, it was the Wolf Among Us, which was extremely fun to play together. The suspense was great! I played Tales on my own later, which I had to immediately show to her, she loved it as well. Pont is, reacting to things in their games is very fun. We both really get immersed in the story and attached to the characters.) Anyway, what I'm trying to say is:

Do you play Telltale games (or similar story-focused games) with friends or family? Do you at least show off those games with cool stories to others? Just a few questions I needed to ask you all. It was on my mind. (I highly recommend you try with others, it is pretty good.)

  • I always play these sort of games first, on my own. Be it a Telltale game, Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, whatever. Headphones on, lights off, I just want to be immersed in the story, from start to finish, with no one else involved.

But I love watching other people play too, and witnessing their decisions. I have actually played many Telltale games, and Until Dawn with members of my family; I do the controls, they do the choices. As you say, it's quite a cool experience I think. (Though, I could never do my original, canon play through with anyone else. That has to be a solo affair)

Ah... my friend and I, we kind of think alike most of the time, so we'd agree on most of the choices. If we don't, it's flip a coin time! Either side, her or me. whichever one wins that is the 'canon' choice.
