Episode progression

So, I tried sam and max out, and that was ok, I don't think it's really my type of humor.(The secret agent song and dance was my favorite)

Strong bad is however, my type of humor. I thought the first episode was just ok, pretty straight forward, but the series just got better with age, and 8 bit is enough was super awesome.

Same with Wallace and Gromit, I thought the first episode was just straight forward adventuring, without much atmostphere, and it was ok. But I am on the 2nd episode now and I believe it is way better.

Do you think the same can be said for Monkey Island? I enjoyed the 1st episode enough, but do you think we will see the same progression of better puzzles/atmostphere as in previous TT games?

Yeah I think that's to be expected, really. The first episode has to introduce the characters and main story line a bit and whet people's appetite, but the real meat & potatoes of the series comes later.
