An Unprecedented Predicament
Ever have that moment when you would like to intern with TellTale as a writer but realize you can't just "temporarily" relocate due to already having bought house, just married, and have a kid-on-the-way? I love writing stories and I saw the opening for the intern, but it seems life has yet to open that door for me:( I would love to apply, but that period of time happens to be the most demanding (like every point in time) of my presence with said added member:P
Anyone figure out how to get out of said rut? With no connections, different education, and but a burning passion A.K.A. #ineedconnections
Any tips? Lessons learned? Experience? Same thing?

Considering that I'm still in school, there's not much advice I can give. However, I do write as a hobby and would like to write as a profession someday. So I think the best thing you can do before you find a better solution is to just keep writing, because it's one of those things where you learn most from experience in my opinion (comparing my stories from two years ago to today, I can say my new stuff is far more bearable). Maybe when the opportunity does come around again, you'll be even more experienced. Best I got, sorry.
Boom. That's what I reckoned! One thing I have been seeing over and over again is, indeed, the need to keep writing. I read up on one author who made it a goal to write half a million words in a year (which he beat, by the way). That goes to show the old saying of "putting about ten thousand hours into something wholeheartedly to succeed masterfully" still bears truth. I'm already published, but I reckon I need to pick up this hobby of mine that is writing and keep at it. Appreciate the comment, my friend.
As for your writing: keep it up! What kind of stuff do you write? Genre? Inspiration? I know for certain I can always and have persistently improved:P I will keep at it till the door opens:D
