Ideas for a Ms. Marvel movie?
I'm a huge fan of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, one of Marvel's newest superheroes. Part of it has to do with its relatively quirky nature and a really likeable lead, who happens to be both a Marvel superhero fangirl and a Pakistani American (which I also am, so I relate a lot to some of her social problems). So of course I'd like to see this character be made into a movie, and here are my thoughts on what it should be like.
Should it be part of the MCU?
Definite yes! For starters, Kamala Khan's strongest character trait is that she is a huge fan of Marvel superheroes, particularly Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (hence her name, Ms. Marvel). While a standalone picture of her being fan of Marvel heroes could still work, it just makes more sense if it took place in the MCU, reading up on the events of the films and being inspired by the Avengers of the MCU. Plus, she's an Inhuman, and seeing as how the MCU is where the Inhuman storyline is officially kicking off in Agents of SHIELD, seeing Ms.Marvel as one of the Inhumans makes sense.
Should it even BE a movie?
This is a little tricky. While on the one hand, I would love to see a Ms. Marvel movie, the fact that she is relatively new makes the idea of making a big budget movie a little risky, so it would be easy to feature her in TV, particularly Agents of SHIELD. Then again, Guardians of the Galaxy was a risky move, and it turned out really successful, so who knows?
Should it be animated?
This seems like a weird question, but it has some points. Ms. Marvel's superpower is shape-shifting, making herself larger or smaller, and stretching her limbs out great distances. Reading the comics, I had a little trouble picturing this in a live action setting, but an animated setting would make more sense, and maybe even help out its quirky tone. Now the MCU is mainly live action, but I don't see how an animated tie-in couldn't happen. DC had an animated webseries tied directly to its CW TV world, so I can see Marvel following a similar approach.
Who should direct it?
I haven't the foggiest idea. I'm not particularly knowledgeable of a lot of modern film directors or indie directors, so I'm at a limit to say. Edgar Wright does stand out due to his quirky and energetic style, but considering how well his last project went with Marvel, I highly doubt he'd be interested in returning.
Who should star?
The only answers I can think of is this. If the film is live action: cast an unknown, young girl of Middle Eastern ethnicity. If it's animated: the voice of Priyanka Chopra (due to her stunning portrayal in the game Marvel's Avengers Academy).
So what do you guys think? Should Ms. Marvel be a movie, or stick with TV? Should it be animated or live action? Who should direct? Who should star?

Part of the MCU
Yes! Daredevil is absolutely amazing and I can't wait for Season 2. If they can go that dark and fit it in they could go to the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
Should it be a movie?
I would prefer a TV show tbh.
Should it be animated?
Nah, if it's canon with Marvel they should keep it live action.
Who should direct it?
Edgar Wright would be amazing but I doubt he'll work with Marvel ever again. I'd like Ava DuVernay (Selma) to direct it. She's a woman and she is foreign so she will know how to right that character. She was also offered 'Black Panther' which shows Marvel has an interest in her.
Who should be cast?
I agree, a complete unknown.
Like I said before, I kind of see Ms. Marvel fitting in to an animated setting a bit more, but that doesn't mean it can't be canon to the MCU (note how I used the example of the Vixen miniseries that's animated yet connected to the DC TV Universe).
As for your idea of the part of MCU, I'm not entirely sure where you got the idea of Daredevil. I'm sorry but Kamala Khan's Ms. Marvel is not dark and gritty material. She's a high schooler, she's quirky, she's energetic, she even has a strong moral code. So no, Ms. Marvel should not have Daredevil's dark and gritty nature.
