I have absolutely no problem with the fact that the characters are female. I do however have a problem with the lack of any clever humor or originality since, from what it seems, the story and characters are just cheap watered down versions of the original movie.
My main issue stems from it being a reboot rather than continuing from the previous films and these characters not having any connections to those in the previous Ghostbusters characters.
I'm all for a female cast, but that trailer was weak and hasn't convinced me it will be a good film. It has nothing to do about the gender t… moreo me because it could've been an all male cast and I still would've thought the same thing. My main issue stems from it being a reboot rather than continuing from the previous films and these characters not having any connections to those in the previous Ghostbusters characters. And like I said the trailer was weak, and choppily put together and made the film come across as such.
Until the film comes out or there's less lazy attempt of a second trailer, I'll still give it the benefit of the doubt.
As an anti-feminist, I actually don't think this movie looks too bad. I don't mind an all-female cast and I don't think the actresses are terrible from what I've seen. The CGI effects seem pretty true to the classics and my only problem so far lies with the lines: they seem horribly written thus far. Personally, I am considering going to see this movie, but probably won't as I haven't stepped into a movie theater in years.
I do think it's bullshit that you can't criticize the movie without being labelled a "manchild", a sexist, an MRA or something along those lines. I'm a woman and I'm not sexist.
I couldn't care less that the main cast is female. I'm just not a big fan of a couple of the actors. I think I'll definitely watch it and I'm hoping I'll like it, but I'm a bit skeptical.
I honestly was worried about this but that was all due to everyone in the YouTube's Comment Section saying it's going to be bad without actually watching a single scene from the movie but from the trailer... it wasn't that bad in my opinion, in fact I laughed at one part xd this movie, like many others, don't cater to everyone's form of humor, I'm thinking of giving this a chance, since some of the games and movies I've come to love over the years have been rated low and even had lots of negativity, again, not everything will be for everyone.
Apart from the fact that the movie looks like a terrible, TERRIBLE slapsick comedy, the heavy female presence is the second major issue I have with the film.
Now, that's not because I take issue with leading female characters or strong women in fiction (not that these four crappy caricatures in the movie are that), instead it is to do with the producers using this female dominated cast to stir up controversy and market the film off that (and nostalgia). It is the epitome of laziness that is running rampant in Hollywood today. Instead of putting forward some original and groundbreaking films, they have instead become almost entirely dependent on controversy and nostalgia to make them money. And, judging by the view count and online discussion on the film, it seems they've once again succeeded and I suspect a lot of people will go and see this out of blind curiosity or hate.
Moreover, it's not like the film is trying to accentuate strong female leads or anything to silence critics who think men are best suited to leading roles in cinema by using horribly cliched characters who just so happen to be women.
I agree. I'm also not a feminist, but the movie looks funny, and I think I might see it. Granted, I have not seen the original, so that may be part of why I think it looks good.

Most complaints on the trailer, and reasons giving for disliking it, are about gender.
Again, if the film had been remade with different male actors, and had humour in its trailer, I doubt it'd have more dislikes than likes.
I'm not mad about the female cast, I'm mad about the shitty CGI and awful ghosts, not looking even scary. Shitty comedy and lame modern jokes are going to be this movies downfall. I bet slimer is going to do the whip or some shit. And seriously sony deleted my hate comment wow.
Agreed. And as someone who has seen the original, my only real problem lies with the writing. It seems. . cheap and ineffective, for a lack of better terms.

Blasphemy. Won't watch. I imagine jokes; "girls, does this grey jump suit makes me look fat"? No, your fat makes you look fat!
I just don't see why it's necessary to make a new Ghostbusters movie at all.
I suspect that this movie is coming into play because of the $$$.
Looks like a shitty cash-grab remake that wasn't necessary at all

Yes, horribly so. I'm a traitor to my own gender. It's a true travesty.
THE POWER OF ANITA COMPELS ME.

I could care less if the cast was all female but it simply looks a like a cheap knockoff with a budget of a few hundred bucks.
Most women are bad at acting. It's just fact.
I couldnt care if they were men, women, green, blue idc..
Just stop remaking classics!! and come up with new ideas

It feels like they made the ghostbusters girls just for the sake of having an all-girls cast. Oh yeah, and it also looks like shit, that too.
That's probably due to the fact that ghostbusters was all male to begin with.
Call me a racist, but I wouldn't watch a movie with green/blue people in it.

I'll probably watch it, i laugh at anything tbh.

Okay, but hear me out: Avatar.
