Knowing that movie with Nic Cage. one of the worst movies of all time.
Any of the new Bond movies. i dont hate them, nor do i think they … moreare bad, but i expected more.
The Dark Knight - everyone really, REALLY overrated it. its good but it is not that good. Rises was better.
The Interview - i still love it, but i expected more, especially after This is the End.
all i can think for right now, will update it once i remember some more
* NOAH.
* True Grit ( Jeff Bridges).
* Big Trouble (Tim Allen).
* Bad News Bears (2005, Billy Bob Thornton).
I picked NOAH as… more number 1, because quite frankly when I went to see it, I felt like I not only wasted my money, but also my time. When it was over, I was so drained! Not only was the movie boring, but it was also rather offensive. I was raised a Protestant Christian. And even though I don't go to church now, I still hold a lot of those Biblical stories that I learned as a kid in high regard.
So when I went to go see it, I went in with an open mind, and I tried to like the film. But after the first 20 minutes of the film, I was wanting to walk out. The film was like a very very bad version of Lord Of The Rings! I remember thinking to myself: "Why do I continue to sit here, when I can be somewhere else doing something constructive?"
The film was so bad, that at some points I had to restrain myself from laughing! Some… [view original content]
I liked it because it felt like Star Wars to me. The prequels didn't, and neither did the Clone Wars, but Force Awakens was Star Wars. And whether or not it felt that way because it was a copy of Episode 4 (Which I seriously didn't at all see. The only similarities I saw were the new Death Star situation and The main character on a desert planet, but Rey's reasons for being there and her story were all completely different than Luke's) It still felt like a damn Star Wars movie to me, and that's what mattered.
No, Age of Ultron is a solid movie, I get that. It was interesting, but it was just disappointing. I kind of felt the exact same as the first movie.
As for throughout my life? digs through cabinet of long lost pieces of shit.
This fucking abortion right here is the most fucking disappointing movie I have ever seen. Not only is it the most disappointing movie I have ever seen, but it is QUITE LITERALLY, the worst film I have ever seen in my entire life. Even fucking Birdemic was better than this shitty fuck stain of disgusting content. HOW DO YOU SINK MILLIONS OF DOLLARS INTO A MOVIE ABOUT THE BEST SILENT HILL GAME, AND THEN FUCK IT UP?! If I ever gave up on let's playing and became a reviewer, this would be my first review, and it would take me three 50 minute episodes to get down to all of the problems with this fucking movie. I was so disappointed in it considering how amazing the first one was, and say what you want about the first movie, at least the acting was good, it stayed true to it's source material, and the monsters in CGI were neat looked like this:
Not whatever the hell... this is...
Not to mention, you see this poorly designed shitshow Claudia turns into that's supposed to be scary?
YEAH. THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE THE MISSONARY. THIS GUY RIGHT HERE:
The guy who fucking MEANT something, the guy who used not for cheap scare tactics, but was Heather's father's killer, Heather's father who was HARRY FUCKING MASON, the Missonary meant something. See how cool he is? See how the didn't try to make him scary and instead tried to make him interesting and meaningful? yeah, THAT SHIT AIN'T PRESENT IN SILENT HILL: REVELATION. YOU CAN'T USE A SYMBOLIC CHARACTER AS A SCARE TACTIC. YOU CANNOT HAVE A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD, YOU GOTTA ROLL THREE TIMES!
Fuck this movie, fuck it, fuck it, FUCK. IT. I'm sorry I've spent a bit shitting on this movie, but it's so fucking awful, and it is the movie the singlehandedly turned me off from movies in general for an entire year.
It doesn't have to be a recent movie. A movie throughout your life you were extremely disappointed in.
And looking back at Age of Ultron, I see that it's a movie with some major flaws, and that it isn't all that great. It's a decent movie.
The only scene in the film that I thought was good, was this one.
It sent chills down my spine, as it reveals just how evil people can be, and what they're capable of when they're facing certain death. enter link description here
Certain aspects of Noah were just plain ass odd. They had this mystical aspect to it that didn't make it feel like a spiritual movie, but a god damn fantasy movie. I never understood why it received a somewhat positive reception.
Probably the Resident Evil franchise now that we're on the game topic.
They took a franchise that had so much lore shoved into it, that it had trouble keeping canon and non-canon straight and threw all of that out the window.
I don't have the energy to rant about it. Too much shit going on in my life. That's what came to mind though.
well it's horrible being the the same lead director/actor worked on The Patriot, historically inaccurate piece of crap... Brave Heart, historically inaccurate piece of crap and We Were Soldiers, a historically accurate epic.... okay WTF!??? So they could be historically accurate about this film but spit on those two other films? Just so happened that those two other films happen to be films were the British were the enemy... I sense some personal hatred between the director and Mel towards the British. Maybe because Mel is Australian? I dunno.
No, Age of Ultron is a solid movie, I get that. It was interesting, but it was just disappointing. I kind of felt the exact same as the firs… moret movie.

I still can't wrap around why anyone likes it
I liked it because it felt like Star Wars to me. The prequels didn't, and neither did … morethe Clone Wars, but Force Awakens was Star Wars. If there are, I really didn't notice. I don't often point out the flaws in anything unless I REALLY hate it.
So basically your reason is nostalgia...
I wouldn't say nostalgia as much, but more like I was sick and fucking tired of shitty directors ruining Star Wars. Even if Episode 7 was a bit of a rehash of Episode 4, it was still great to watch and a fun film, and this is coming from someone who went into the movie completely pissed off and thinking "This movie is gonna be fucking shit-tastic.". But I found it quite enjoyable. Now, I wouldn't say it's the best Star Wars movie, because it's not. And I sure as fuck wouldn't put it on my favorite films because there are many movies far better than The Force Awakens, but it's really not that bad of a movie.
I think that I already answered that question? if you read my comment carefully, I explained what I did not like about the movie True Grit, with Jeff Bridges.
I really don't understand why it seems to be so challenging for Marvel Studios to do the character justice and deliver a Norse epic in the style of the best Thor comics.

Tons, I'm sure. For me, disappointment is the gap between expectation and result, and one that comes to mind is Killing Them Softly. One absolutely fantastic scene, interesting opening, and an otherwise forgettable movie.

Well, I was asked what the most disappointing movie of 2015 was, and I said "Alice in Earnest Land." It wasn't bad, but the speed was uneven, the ending came suddenly, things which could have been interesting themes were just dropped. I was expecting a whimsical comedy about horribly dark things, like an early Tim Burton movie, which it was, but a lot of the heavily stylized support characters basically conflicted with the overall tone.
"Godsend" was another memorably disappointing film. The poster was great and it sucked me in, then I found out it was directed by a director whose other film had had promise. But instead was overall boring, and almost every element of the plot was contrived, with no real believability of how characters would meet and of how they would interact with each other.
Some, in no particular order: Synecdoche in New York, The Wrestler, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, Bringing Out the Dead, Being Flynn.
And the 'There, I said it.' category: Dark City, The Deer Hunter, The Conversation

The Deer Hunter was by no means a bad movie, and I don't regret watching it - it's just that looking at the cast, and it's acclaim as one of the greatest American films of all time, it massively failed to meet my (high) expectations. Perhaps I watched it in the wrong mindset, but I just thought it was a ilttle on the boring side, and there is also a tension between the display of the trauma of Vietnam and the director's own admission that the Russian Roulette part is completely fabricated. As far as Vietnam films are considered, I think Apocalypse Now, and especially Full Metal Jacket are far superior.
Dark City: I really enjoyed it's atmosphere and its premise, then when they finally reveal what was going on, I was just like '... Really?'
With the risk of spoiling everything, let's just say this guy was the target demographic:
The Conversation: Again, not bad, just disappointing. The plot and ending were good, but it just wasn't nearly as much tension for me as I had been expecting.
Overpowered no one can challenge her so no tension or fun in the action many other things but I forget the film is boring and forgettable
Silent Hill 3D
I enjoyed the first film but the second was terrible
Paranormal Activity I can't remember which one
NOTHING HAPPENS for 99% of the film then few pans fly around, few screams and the girl turns into a vampire for 5 mins then over or something. The scariest bit was the end credits then I knew my money got stolen for this crap I could of made this on my Iphone with better scares.
American Sniper
Remember the heroics American did in Iraq by just killing innocent civilians when found out they entered wrong country to attack? NO? good forget all that because this is great disney film about Chris Kyle I read the book and this movie was a lie complete propaganda movie what defines a true story anymore XD
Though so excited about the spin off sequel again Clint Eastwood to direct and produce exactly like American Sniper
German Sniper
Set in 1940's about the story of how a young artist named Hitler turned fighter became leader to save the world of Russian oppression and died saving the Jews based on the book Mein Kampf

I've never felt both disappointed and amazed with a movie, until now.
10 Cloverfield Lane
As a Cloverfield movie, it's a bit disappointing. I know the budget was far less than 2008's Cloverfield and I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up for a movie like the first, but I just thought there was going to be a bit more action, or we would see a lot more of the aliens, or even the same monster. Nope, nothing until really the end.
However, the story, acting, characters, writing (it was co-written by the same guy that wrote Whiplash), and pacing were all fantastic. This movie works insanely well as a thriller, it had me on the edge of my seat throughout it's run. So yeah, I both loved and felt disappointed with this movie, if that makes sense.

Comments
I feel like that's your answer for everything, and I approve.
Glad to see that someone else finds The Dark Knight extremely fucking overrated. Its good, but god damn son don't suck the movie's dick!
I LOVED True Grit, what didn't you like about it?

That movie.
and i would never wouldve put it in here if i never heard the hype for the movie. i think thats what probably killed it for me.
I think I have to choose "I'm A Legend" as the most disappointing movie I've ever watched.
Gibson is just a crazy goof. Let's leave it at that.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen it, but Robert De Niro!

which is the point of the thread. it's about our opinion. i just didnt put IMO, because its already implied.
It was a reference from Dark Knight Rises
That's how I felt with Cloverfield Lane too. Posted a review a little while back today.
Story, characters, acting, writing - all great.
As a Cloverfield movie, disappointing. Especially near the end.
