Are parental rights being abolished in this country?

edited March 2016 in General Chat

Are there any members on here that are actually parents?
Does anyone on here have children?
If so, I'm sure just like any loving parent, you want the very best for your children.
And as a parent, you have the right to raise your kids as you see fit.

However, the Government might soon be about to tell you that you don't have any rights when it comes to your kids - that your kids are not yours, but belong to them. That they, and ONLY they, have the right to teach your kids what is right and what is wrong, and if what you try to teach them is not in alignment with their teachings, that YOU are the one who is out of line.

Now as I already stated, I'm done with voting for politicians.
And this thread is not about politics in itself, but rather about how individual and human rights are being declared war on.
And for that matter, I can't understand why anyone would want to vote for who ends up in office, and wanna bear the responsibility for what these people do when they do get in, because of having helped vote them in in the first place.

So is this type of future starting to happen?
Well consider the following video clips.

Here's what happened to a father who was just trying to pick up his kids from school.

I included a second video about the incident, because it is explained in greater detail.

His is a father who was removed from a school room for merely trying to ask a question.

Here is a mother who got arrested for simply letting her children play outside.

So are seeing a takeover of parental rights by the Government?
What does the evidence show?
What do you believe?

  • These are just a combination of poorly executed school policies and busy body neighbors who probably watch SVU all the time and see the world as nothing but child eating environments. Alex Jones loves to turn anything into a vast global conspiracy.

  • In a country of over 300,000, you're going to find crazy instances like these. Also, and it's pretty bad either way, but there's a big difference between being arrested and being charged. Not saying cops don't abuse arrests, they certainly do.

And no, the government is not taking over parenting. If you've paid attention to politics for the past few decades you'd realize the government doesn't give a shit about kids, except as a prop.
