  • Batman Telltale Series. Also just checked out the Windrose Demo.

  • Started Resident Evil: Requiem and I don't think I've felt more helpless in a Resident Evil game than when I'm playing as Grace. Her terrified voice acting and the way her hands tremble when she's holding a weapon really do a good job of setting the atmosphere and upping the creep factor. Then whenever I'm swapped to Leon, I feel absolutely invincible in comparison. He's the hydrogen bomb to Grace's coughing baby lmao.

  • I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 as of late. The story around 2 gets a little more convoluted, but I'm really liking the gameplay overall. Especially for 2 in particular, the environment hub areas seem a lot less irritatingly opaque with what it's asking for players to do to forward the story.

Getting a bit closer towards beating KH2. I may or may not try some of the spinoff games in the same collection, depending on how I feel about 2's ending

I've been playing Infinity Sweeper on Steam; it's a Balatro style Minesweeper game, and it's surprisingly fun! You'd think the concept sounds kind of gimmicky, but not so.

  • Drug Dealer Simulator.

Playing DDS atm. The game being the older brother of Schedule 1, with a darker and more realistic approach. Despite enjoying the repetetive gameplay loop i have to say in terms of quality, this game is absolute garbage.

Why? (I'll give the TLDR version)

    • This game is infested with annoying bugs, so many... That my conclusion is that the game is a unfinished mess. I could write several pages of the bugs i encountered. I'll probably do so in a Steam review.
    • The "Visual Update" is horribly optimized despite looking pretty.
    • The game looks like a cheap assetflip.
    • Police AI is too shortsighted and predictable for a stealth sneaking simulator.
    • Awful progression.
    • Forced low gamma, makes the game look terrible at times.
    • A bunch of spelling mistakes. (nitpick)
    • K9 Police dogs have been cut from the game, despite the loading screen tips saying they exist. (nitpick)

    Would i recommend it?

    Hell no.

Despite Schedule 1 still being in development and being a ripoff of DDS, it's already a way better game in it's current state and there is more to come.

    My rating of DDS:

    3/10

Played 007: Last Light and it's personally my game of the year so far. The combat is excellent, stealth is fun, I especially love being able to bluff people about why I'm in a restricted area, I really enjoy the MI6 gang, the gadgets are fun to play around with, and the maps are very open and there are a number of different ways to approach an obstacle or mission. Pretty much exactly what you'd want out of a James Bond game by the people behind Hitman!

  • Disclaimer: My intention is to provide criticism of the game since i didn't think it was good. NOT to spread hostility or any act of hatred or otherwise.

    Just a few corrections:

    • It's First Light, not Last Light. I think you got it mixed up with Metro: Last Light.
    • I wouldn't call MI6 a "gang"; it's a secret intelligence agency, like the CIA, but British.
    • I wouldn't say the maps are very open like they are in the HITMAN games; they seem quite linear.

I hate 007 First Light, and i think it's a great example why video games are so bad nowdays, and IMO it's barely a video game and more of a "cinematic movie game." I found it quite forgettable because the plot wasn't that good either. I honestly don't even know where to start critiquing the game, so I'll just list my major problems with it.

The stealth is a massive downgrade from the HITMAN games and is probably some of the most laughable stealth I've seen in a video game.

    1. You have fewer possibilities than you do in the HITMAN games, literally.
    2. You're not allowed to play the game however you want; you're restricted to what the game allows you to do. For example, when you're in stealth, you're not allowed to pull out a gun unless you get the "License to Kill."
Yellow paint and blue tarps everywhere to insult player intelligence and make the game more accessible (obviously to maximize profit).
    3. The AI is terrible, deaf, and lacks any sort of self-awareness or vision.
    4. NPCs refuse to acknowledge that they've been lasered in the eye. When you have two guards guarding a doorway, you can laser one guy's buddy right in front of him and he doesn't care. Then you laser him too and just walk into the restricted area with no problem. In other words, the NPCs lack any sort of self-awareness. You can turn on a vacuum cleaner right in front of somebody and they'll be like: "Huh? Who did that??? Must have been the wind."
Even though I think bluffing is a funny gimmick, it's basically a get-out-of-jail-free card for maintaining stealth, removing any sort of punishment for messing up.
    5. The patrols are scripted and predictable. They're not random, and enemies are mostly easy to take out since they often have their backs turned to you or are just stationary. Conveniently, they're always positioned in environments where you can take advantage of gadgets. There's barely any skill involved.
    6. X-ray vision. Every modern game apparently has to let you see through walls.

    Gunplay

    1. Ridiculous numbers of enemies standing next to explosive barrels or fire hazards just so the player can feel like they're in a Hollywood movie.
    2. Enemies are scripted to miss their first bursts, giving them stormtrooper aim.
    3. Despite the shooting feeling satisfying and probably being the best part of the game, a lot of the enjoyment goes away once you realize you barely get any ammo and have to switch guns every five seconds because the developers force you to use all the weapons they made.
    4. You have to play for four hours of tutorials before you finally get your first License to Kill at the airport and are actually allowed to shoot your gun (which reminds me of Mafia: The Old Country).
    5. Your average cover shooter. Been there, done that. The gun-throw mechanic was the only thing I found innovative.

    Other complaints

    1. This game feels very corporate, collaborating with Aston Martin, Coca-Cola, Orlebar Brown, Herman Miller Gaming, Jaguar, Land Rover, Omega, and NVIDIA.
    2. Cameos from Jacksepticeye, Khaby Lame, and other celebrities.
    3. Melee combat is mediocre. The only thing I really liked was the destructible environment during melee fights.
    4. Restrictions during driving segments where the game teleports you back onto the road if you decide to drive anywhere other than the main route.
    5. (Subjective) Unmemorable antagonists and plot.
    6. Forced four-hour tutorial/prologue.
    7. Most of the game consists of walking segments where you hold W and listen to a character yap while walking alongside them.
    8. Gen Z Bond. He lost all of his charisma and personality. Bro looks like Henry from Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
    9. (Subjective) I think this game had the most mid Bond girls.
    10. For a game marketed as an action/stealth game, I nearly fell asleep because it barely lets you actually play. And when it does, it's usually ten minutes of gameplay before you're forced back into another walking segment or some parkour uncharted slop.
    11. (Subjective) Terrible dialogue and writing.
    12. The amount of hand-holding in this game is crazy.
    13. (cannot list this as this would most likely break Forum Guideline 1.1 and 1.3 all i'm going to say is it has political messaging)

I think the game is extremely overrated and follows the same boring pattern of Mafia The Old Country of being a movie game. For a better Bond experience, I'd recommend 007: Nightfire. On PC, though, I'm pretty sure emulation would be required but i'd still recommend this game to any Bond fan, and people who just want to play a video game instead of holding W and being forced into walking sections listening to a character insult you every 2s.

When i play my games i like being in control, and actually playing the game. Doing something like driving, punching, shooting etc. I don't see any replay value i 007 First Light like with Hitman. This could have been just a movie but bad.

I really hate this trend in modern games where, if you as a player do something off-script that the developers didn’t intend, you get punished for not sticking to the cinematic "acting" script. I feel like I’m playing the role of an actor in a movie scene rather than playing a video game.

I mean what is there to say than repeat my love for Resident Evil? Capcom did a great job at combining two genres in one game. When playing as Grace, I am stuck with monsters around. But when playing as Leon, the monsters are the ones stuck with me.

Unfortunately however, this concept caused a lot of favoritism from the audience, myself included. Because I enjoyed playing as Grace much more than Leon and that's due to me preferring the Survival Horror experience. The Rhodes Hill Health Care gave me the best Survival Horror experience since the Baker mansion from RE7. Playing as Leon was fun but it wasn't addictive as Resident Evil 4 Remake and it dragged on much longer than it needed to. Not to mention, the bosses were absolutely nothing special and too fanservice-y. I personally believe Village did much better with its boss variety.

Capcom strikes again, making a complete new IP since ages, for 7 years in development no less. I already knew that if I tend to become a parent, I would personally choose a daughter over a son. But Pragmata just added more fuel to my heart. Diana was soo adorable on every level.

The game didn't change my life or anything but I love how much it respected my time. It's very well paced. No unnecessary forced walking segments and each level served their own purpose.

I finished the entire Apollo Justice trilogy and it's a lot better than I expected.

When I finished the first two cases of Dual Destinies, I wasn't having it. The 3D transition didn't do much for me at the time and it did feel like it was going on a complete different direction than what the first Apollo Justice game was setting up. Some established characters did suffer a backseat. Happy to say the game grew on me once I finished both Turnabout Reclaimed and Turnabout Academy (My personal favorite case of the game) and onward.

Athena Cykes was the best character in this game. While I do stand that she was introduced a bit too early, I am surprised to say that she quickly became my favorite Ace Attorney character in the franchise. Not only that, the main prosecutor of this game also happens to become my favorite (Even above Edgeworth) and that is Simon Blackquill. Everything, from the design, the attitude and his backstory, it just speaks perfection for me.

I didn't know which Ace Attorney game was my favorite before but now I have it.

This is my least favorite game in the Apollo Justice trilogy.

While this game has a more cohesive story than Dual Destinies and some ideas were great, it didn't really click with me in the end. I love that Apollo finally gets the time to shine as a character and each case (Except the 4th one and the DLC) had high stakes. It was also great to be defending clients in a complete different court system. Also also, this is the game that felt like a true sequel to Apollo Justice.

Unfortunately, the biggest problem with this game is the main prosecutor. Nahyuta Sahdmadhi is by far the worst of the bunch. His entire personality is just "Let it go and move on" and his motivation for being such a bully makes no sense. And when he finally showed development to his character, it felt forced with nothing to back it up with.

My only favorite cases from this game were The Magic Turnabout and Turnabout Storytelling (Yes, I said it. COME AT ME BRO!!!)

Speaking of which, Simon teaming up with Athena and rivaling with Nahyuta was easily the best part of the entire game for me. As if I didn't have enough reasons why Simon is my favorite prosecutor character. He and Athena have the best sibling energy and chemistry

Spirit of Justice also has the worst DLC case. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It was supposed to serve as nostalgic trip to the original trilogy but it was too simple and the plot was painfully predictable.

Well, I couldn't resist because I love Ace Attorney so much. So I had to also play the one that's not canon to the franchise. This was the very first game I've emulated and played all the way through. Also my very first introduction to the Professor Layton franchise and I knew nothing about it until now.

Sad for me to say, this is my least favorite Ace Attorney game of the whole franchise overall. It barely felt like an Ace Attorney game because it only has 4 court cases within 9 chapters in total. It was nice to see another adventure with Phoenix and Maya after the original trilogy and experience gameplay from Professor Layton and his apprentice Luke. It also offers some unique things but that's where my positivity stops.

I didn't care too much about some of side characters, some of the great characters got a questionable backseat and the ending caused a lot of plot holes for the story. There is only one court case that I enjoyed throughout this game. Spoiler alert: it's not the final one. I also shouldn't forget to mention that the title is just as misleading as Batman V Superman.

The only best thing about this game is that it inspired the AA creator to create the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and based on what I have played so far (First case finished recently), you can see a ton of similarities. This is the very last Ace Attorney saga that I need to play to complete my entire Ace Attorney marathon.

I did play the first game as well but didn't care too much for it. Therefore, I finished it without getting the true ending.

But the sequel is soo much better in almost every way. But it still suffers from puzzles with very clueless solutions and I didn't have time to solve everything by myself.

Just need more Survival Horror experience these days, so of course I'd try this game. It did exactly what I expected and enjoyed. But I wasn't a big fan of how the backtracking was done. It can be tough at times though.

Now this was probably the best indie horror game I've played in a while. The PSX graphics was very nostalgic and helped raise the atmosphere and fear factor. I enjoyed the puzzles and the game did troll me into thinking it was gonna be a 2 hour game but it was 4 hours in the end. The dev couple deserve all the praise for all their hard work.

I also think this game delivered the best representation of a lesbian couple, even more so than Life is Strange and The Last of Us Part 2. Vivian and Amy didn't even need to kiss to demonstrate their love for each other.

This is Radio Free Oregon. The Truth Shall Set You Free!

This game is a lot better than I expected. The gameplay was very addictive and despite a few bugs, I felt a lot of immersion.

Unfortunately, Days Gone suffers from what I hate about open world games in general. Too many repetitive side quest and the story was way longer than it needed to be. I used to hate the fact that Deacon St. John was constantly talking just about everything, even when I was exploring, but I got over it. Sam Witwer is always a win.

This is Mark Copeland from Radio Free Oregon. Don't Believe The Lies!

I don't really have much to say about this one. Someone recommended this to me, I played it and it was just fine. I didn't understand the whole story of it but it did give me jeepers in some parts.

This game was overhyped in my opinion. I didn't hate it, I did have some fun with it but it's not life-changing as people made it out to be.

It was cool with all the mech stuff but the only thing that really impressed me was the level with the time travel device. It was REALLY similar to the same level from Dishonored 2, with all the seamless transitions between the present and the past. And it's very ironic because both games came out in the same year, in the matter of a few weeks apart. Unless Arkane and Respawn had a secret collab with each other, this must be the craziest coincidence ever.

Right off the bat, I DESPISED THIS GAME!!! I don't think I've ever been pissed about playing a video game since probably The Last of Us Part 2. I went in expecting a nun's psychological adventure but all I have got was just a weird event after another.

The story feels non-existent despite being story-driven, the game is poorly optimized and it has horrible lip-sync between the dialogue and the subtitles. This feels like a game made by Kojima fanboys and all they did was making weird things just for the sake of weirdness. Once I finished the game, I uninstalled it without looking back. I'd rather replay Callisto Protocol and Forbidden Siren than touch this shit ever again.
