A good one that no one's mentioned yet in this thread would be Minerva's Den for Bioshock 2. Now that right there was fucking great, and the story was pretty much better than the main game's.
Correct me if im wrong, there is also the flipped side of your statement. Yes, i do agree that alot DLC is pointless and too much for the asking price but there is really good DLC out there like Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dawngaurd or Dragonborn DLC (we don't like to talk about Hearthfire).
Pretty much any DLC is shitty. Most of it is never necessary or is not at all worth the asking price. But the worst of it is when a game is unplayable unless you have DLC. Fucking Mortal Kombat X is a perfect example of how shitty DLC is.
