Talk about gratitude.
Okay so I heard from a mutual friend that this guy I know had all his teeth yanked. I sent the guy a message that said: "Word on the street that you got your teeth yanked, and I hope you get well soon".
I figured, but that might be a really nice thing for me to do. He responded with "Word on the street needs to shut the fuck up!"
Talk about trying to do something nice for somebody, and they totally throw it in your face. I know the guy's in a lot of pain, but still.

Perhaps he feels embarrassed and didn't want others to know or perhaps it's just a rumor? Rumors can hurt, even if people try to show you gratitude after hearing those rumors. I guess what I'm trying to say is that whilst you think you were doing a kind thing by wishing him well recovery, he might have felt betrayed by people knowing something he may have wanted to keep a secret and being reminded of it makes him feel angrier or sadder about his predicament or perhaps it's not true at all? As I don't know all the facts or the person himself, I can't really say. I think it was nice that you tried to wish him well but you may have inadvertently made him feel worse about his situation.
His teeth got yanked? Literally?
