What was your opinion of Two and a Half Men?
I thought the first couple of seasons were the best. My favorite cast had to be Charlie, Alan, and Jake.
After Walden Schmidt, played by Ashton Kutcher, came on the scene, in my opinion the show just took a huge nosedive.
After Walden came on the scene, the show just became so incredibly geeky, that I personally couldn't stand it. Walden, in my opinion, was almost as big a dork as was Alan.
I get, that they wanted to bring in a youthful spirit, with Ashton Kutcher's signing on, but at the same time they could have made his character have good people skills. They didn't have to make him a geek, like they did Alan, in order to make the show funny.
And while I have to admit, they had some very gorgeous woman on the show, I didn't necessarily like the way that they portrayed them. It portrayed them as all pretty much sluts, with basically no moral line.
And I did not like how Charlie used, and abused them. And how he would constantly manipulate women, just to fulfill his sexual needs.and the worst part is, is that the show made his behavior out to be cool, like that's what men are supposed to do.
And I have a very strong objection to that, because that's NOT what a REAL man does. A REAL MAN does not manipulate women just to get them into bed. That's what a sexual predator does! It's sleazy behavior, and it's not something that should be presented as funny, or admirable.
I'm not saying that it's wrong for people to hook up. But what I am saying is that both REAL MEN and REAL WOMEN do not view each other as just sexual objects. They have respect for each other - and viewing each other as human beings.
The Dali Lama one said: "The problem with the world today is that human beings were created to be loved, and things were created to be used. And the problem is is that we love things, and use people."
but to get back to the subject, my favorite episodes in particular were the ones that had to deal with Jake as a little boy. And as a little kid, I thought that the jokes about his apparent lack of smarts were funny, and plus he had that cute kids thing going for him so it was bearable.
But as he got older, I personally got sick and tired of the dumb jokes. They could have made Jake grow up to be an intelligent person, and still be funny. In my opinion, his character had huge potential, yet the writers squandered it.
I thought the show was pretty good, no as I said I had some strong objections to a lot of the things that they did and whatnot. And after Charlie left the show, morally speaking, the show just got even more trashy, especially where Alan's character was concerned.
And in some ways, I can understand why the actor who played Jake, left the show, and trashed it. But on the other hand, I also figured it this way, that he didn't like the show, it was his choice to leave, but don't ruin it for those that did like the show.

I think you're taking Charlie's sexual nature and the women in the show a bit too seriously.
Anyway, I loved Two & a Half Men. Even with Ashton Kutcher. I did stop watching after a while but didn't have a real reason. Alan was always my favourite.
I liked the series but I stopped watching when Charlie Sheen was fired from the show. Though I have seen a handful of the newer episodes and honestly I don't think they're that great.
Great when Charlie was there. Crap when he left.
It was a shitty show since it started. Charlie was a dickhead and he treated women like shit. I just wish I could have seen the episode where Charlie dies. Too bad there is no episode of this.
It went down the drain once charlie sheen left
Was crap from start to finish.
Never really liked it but always liked the theme tune
It was alright. I wasn't crazy into it but it definitely had it's moments. I hated the one with Ashton Kutcher
Yeah I like Ashton Kutcher, but he was trash in Two and a Half men.
Once Charlie left, the show got stupid.
The show was decent. I remember watching it a while back before that whole debacle with Sheen left him fired from the show. Once he left, it was not the same. Two and a half Men without him was as chocolate pudding sans custard.
