Speculations about Meathooks missing hands in MI:SE

I just played through MI:SE, and when i got to Meathook, it got me thinking. He refers to the beast that bit his hands off many years ago as being a lot bigger than the beast Guybrush have to face.'
After playing MI3, could that beast maybe be El Pollo Diablo?

Oh, and did someone watch the credits properly? The names for the 3 pirates of low moral fiber are appearantly Freddy, Phineas and Franklin, fitting .)

It was a lot bigger, relative to him at the time.

The beast is actually in the game. I'm surprised you haven't seen it because I'm pretty sure he shows it to you. At least, he did in the original.

That's not the beast that bit off his hands, the bird you see was an attraction at his place and it attacked a kid.

Yeah he even says as he opens the door that at least its not as big as the one who bit his hands off, I'm surprised you didn't hear that because I'm pretty sure he says that as he shows you.

Of course it's not as big, he's not a kid anymore.

Yeah... I feel the same way about the hill I used to sled down as a kid.

    Aye to that. Aye. :(

Given how freaked out Meathook is by a bird, I had always assumed that "much bigger" meant "a little bit bigger."

It's clear what REALLY bit his hands off, it was a duck.

It was a parrot, and it probably wasn't bigger so much as Meathook trying to not to look like as much of a wuss by saying it "was much bigger" which is why the joke is funny...because it wasn't...hah...get it? Anyway...

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought the gag back and actually had a gargantuan parrot appear in the game and the puzzle is to force (or trick) Meathook into facing his fears.
