Which adventure games do you own?

edited July 2009 in General Chat
This is just a quick list of the ones that come to mind, noticeably absent are Sierra games, which I have never played in my life.

As well as ones on the list I've selected (I don't yet have Bone, S&M S2, Broken Sword 4, Simon the Sorcerer 3 or 4, the Runaways, Hollywood Monsters, or a Vampyre Story), I have:

    Altered Destiny
Les Manley 1: Search for the King
Les Manley 2: Lost in LA
    Shadow of the Comet
    Prisoner of Ice
    Rise of the Dragon
    The Adventures of Willy Beamish
    Heart of China
    Gobliiins
    Gobliins 2
    Goblins Quest 3
The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff & the Schnibble of Azimuth
    Lost in Time
    Ween: The Prophecy
    Star Trek 25th Anniversary
    Star Trek Judgment Rites
    Star Trek A Final Unity
    Star Trek Hidden Evil
    The Journeyman Project Trilogy
Complete Myst Series (including Myst original release, Myst Masterpiece, Uru Complete Chronicles, and realMyst)
    Hugo Trilogy
    Return of the Phantom
Rex Nebular & the Cosmic Gender Bender
    Dragonsphere
    Beneath a Steel Sky
    Lure of the Temptress
    Flight of the Amazon Queen
    Future Wars
Touche: Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer
    All the Sierra games

...and a myriad of other archived adventures I've collected over the years backed up on CD (including AGS, AGI, and SCI fangames).

I forgot the Journeyman Project existed, I remember playing that at a friend's house when I was younger and enjoying it.

Not a US release yet as far as I know, but I grabbed a copy on ebay from the UK and it's in English.

my vote is towards games I have owned at some time in the past since I don't have very many left since most were floppies.

Oh and Blue Force. A lesser known game which was a bit like the PQ series

Made by the creator of the Police Quest series, actually. Some even consider it to be the TRUE Police Quest 4, instead of the Daryl F. Gates...detective simulator without any engaging story to speak of (aka PQ: Open Season). The music was also created by ex-Sierra composer Ken Allen (one of my favourites who wrote the soundtracks for SQ4, SQ1VGA, part of KQ5, and Colonel's Bequest among others).

It's only available in Spanish, if that matters to you.

It was developed by Péndulo Studios, the same guys after the Runaway series.

Anyway, I only had The Curse of Monkey Island before but ever since playing ToMI my interest in adventure games has revived so I've purchased:

The Longest Journey (I only hear wonders about this game, so it's worth a try)
    Runaway 1 & 2
Grim Fandango (don't know why I didn't play this before, it's amazing)
A Vampyre Story (coming this week)
    So Blonde (coming soon)
    Sam & Max Season 1

And I'm really looking forward to:
    Gray Matter
The Whispered World (gorgeous-looking 2D point & click)
Haunted and Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island (gotta love pirate games)
    Machinarium (preordered!)

Would also love to legally acquire the old Sierra and Lucas games but that would be harder than it sounds.

I own all of those except the Runaway games and the Hollywood one.

Anyone ever play Lost in Time? It was awesome in an incredibly cheesy way!

Yep. 'Tis on my list. Loved that game. Tough, though! Made by Coktel Vision, same guys that did the Gobliiins games.

The only game on that list I've never heard of is Hollywood Monsters. Apparently it was only ever released in Spanish? Odd.

Yep, made by the guys that did Runaway, before they decided that translating their games might be a good plan.

    Huh. Not even English subtitles...?

Ironically the only thing that makes me curious about the game is the fact that I can't play it.

Nope, subtitles are all in Spanish. I bought my copy a few years back for a semi-outrageous price from a guy on gametz.com, and it looks like he is still around. http://gametz.com/user/phil3178.html

Not suprised to see alot of people already own Tales of Monkey Island.

What surprises me is that more people own Sam and Max season one than Sam and Max Hit the Road.

Why should that be surprising? Sam and Max was successful, but not the most representative game in the 90s. It's not a must-own then like MI games or King Quest games.

Also, it is rather unfair to compare the volume of games being moved in the 90s as with today. The number of PC owners in the 90s is significantly lower, and that would inevitably translate to a lower sale figure of games.

Much like MusicallyInspired (hi, MI!), my adventure game list is extensive. Off the top of my head, I have:

Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine
All the Agatha Christie titles by AWE Games
All the CSI games (except Miami and New York)
    Culpa Innata
    The Dig
    EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus
    Freddy Pharkas, Frontier Pharmacist
    All Gabriel Knight games
    Grim Fandango
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
    All the Journeyman Project games
    All the King's Quest games
    The Last Express
    All the Kyrandia games
    Lighthouse
    The Longest Journey
    Dreamfall
    Loom
The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes
Both of The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes
    Lost in Time
    Both Maniac Mansion Games
    The Moment of Silence
    All the Monkey Island games
    MYST Masterpiece Edition
    realMYST
    Riven
    Exile
    Revelation
    URU: Complete Chronicles
    Police Quest IV
All the Quest for Glory games
    Rama
    The Riddle of Master Lu
    Both the Runaway games
Both seasons of Sam and Max
    Secret of the Silver Earring
    Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis
    All the Space Quest games
    Both the Syberia games
    Torin's Passage
    Wanted: A Wild Western Adventure
Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders
    Zork Nemesis

There are also many others I've played and, of course, anything free through ScummVM I have downloaded at some point (to say nothing of freeware titles and fan remakes).
