Monkey Island Won't Open

Every time I get the screen up, and hit "launch" it begins, but within two seconds I get an error screen reading:

MonkeyIsland101.exe has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Does anyone have any advice as to how to get my game working?

    Actually, I just fixed it by changing it to 32-bit color instead of 16-bit. Thanks to the person who suggested that on the other thread.
