Black bars

I play the game at 1680x1050 and I have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. What's up with that?

Sam & Max didn't do this :(

    Here's the solution.

They're hardly noticable. It depends on your monitor aspect ratio. If you've got a more square res, then the bars will be bigger.

I don't mind as long as the game is in normal aspect - the characters don't look stretched etc.

    It makes it cinema-like.

They don't even matter. Just imagine the black bars were where your monitor ends, as if it was 16:9. All that changes is your diagonal screen size, as if you had a slightly smaller 16:9 display.

This. I much prefer playing Season 1 of Sam & Max without mucking around with the original aspect ratio, black bars on either side and all. Distortion will always bug me more than not being able to use every single pixel on my monitor.

... Now, if Telltale starts formatting their games in 4.00:1 while the rest of the world sticks with 16:9 and 16:10, then we might have a bone to pick with them. ;)
