Michonne PC glitch: Sharpening the machete

So I'm in the part at the start of the game where you need to sharpen machete with this brick you pick up. Game tells me to move my mouse left and right and no matter how fast or slow I try to move my mouse nor if I hold mouse button down Michonne will not move the brick and I can't progress in the game. How to fixt this?

    Well I got it to work. In case some one has the same problem by making circular motion with the mouse I was able to sharpen the machete.
