I'm not a staff member so my point may be moot, but I would not call it a beta. They are just updating different parts of the site in phases as opposed to doing the entire site at once.
As he said, the Forum's update has yet to come outside of a new coat of paint that carries over from changes made elsewhere on the site.
Oh, so this is basically the beta version of the site? Or the frame we get while it's under construction in the background? Either way, than… moreks for letting us know how everything's working out over there, and how things are going to play out... It's nice that you guys care, so thank you.
just for fun...:
but I assure all of you that it will be soon.
soon.
SOON.
hehehe.
Is there an ETA for the Community changes? Days, week, weeks? Should we expect periodic small changes, like the fixes we've seen so far or will it be more of a full community rollout when the staff are all happy with it?
The majority of changes that we've made have been back-end; we completely overhauled the way that we create and deliver content. Additionall… morey as most of you have noticed, most of the site got a complete face lift as well. The full visual improvement we want to make to the Community hasn't happened yet, but I assure all of you that it will be soon. And it will not be entirely white. The biggest reason for all of this work is to allow us the ability to make consistent improvements throughout all areas of the site; community, company, jobs, game pages, news, PR posts, etc. We needed the ability to iterate and change and add content quickly, which just wasn't possible in the past.
All of that essentially states that "We did a whole bunch of stuff that you guys can't actually see." I know that can be frustrating, so the best I can say is please be patient, work with our dedicated mods for communication, feedback and suggestions, and watch as w… [view original content]

Right, that's kind of what I meant. I just interpret this as the non-complete Version2.0 of the site. (Or however many times it has changed over the years... I've only experienced one, I think. [this one])

As he said, the Forum's update has yet to come outside of a new coat of paint that carries over from changes made elsewhere on the site.
For example, we've started pulling popular threads from the forums onto the games pages themselves, to highlight the contributions that you are all making.
I have noticed that and I really wish to thank the person who had this wonderful idea. I feel honoured by seeing my own thread featured on the Game of Thrones page and it's safe to say that this made my day and quite likely my week as well. Obviously, it is my favourite new feature and after spending a few hours with the new site, I actually have to take back my initial negative statement on the update. It holds a lot of potential, especially when it comes to new features, which I just love discovering. The visual stuff is something that requires time to get used to, but now that many of the initial problems are fixed, I start seeing the good sides about this update. It it nice to hear it won't remain entirely clinically white and I am looking forward to find out what else you have planned in terms of design. So, you certainly won me over, I'm sure the final result is going to be great
A question though, is it a bug that we don't get a notification whenever someone answers to one of our comment, or was this a deliberate decision?

I use a stock avatar (from Sam & Max). My profile just says "Your avatar" on the profile page instead of displaying the actual avatar. I'm now posting to see if it shows up on a post. (I see it on my old posts, but this is my first new post in the new format.)
EDIT: Yep, it's there on the post, just not on my profile.

We've let staff members know that there are issues with PMs. I don't know when there will be any updates on it, but we have given them a heads up though and have let them know of other issues that they have already fixed.
A question though, is it a bug that we don't get a notification whenever someone answers to one of our comment, or was this a deliberate decision?
I've been receiving this issue too, curious. Also, Liquid do PM's work for you? I'm basically trying to determine if it's a problem on my end or theirs XD

I have the same problem and from what I can see, so has a majority of the users here, probably even all of them. Sending an entirely new PM for every single message seems to work from my experience, but answering to an existing PM currently seems to be impossible. I guess we just have to wait until the staff finds a way to fix that bug.

Alright, just thinking our 5-6 page discussion is gonna die if we have to start over again XD I'm also gonna have start saving specific character submits if this won't get fixed, though I guess we'll wait and see. Shame about this notification bug.

Your feed will still update, but you just are not getting notifications for people replying to your posts. You can still get other types of feed notifications, such as threads you follow being posted in, private messages, flagged post notifications, ban messages, etc.
I do not know if the lack of profile feed notifications for responses to your posts is deliberate or not, but that would be better answered from a staff member instead of myself.

Oh so beside waiting on the next Telltale Episode, we also have to wait for the next website update. Well, I am used to waiting.
Thanks for the reassurance. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the full design.

I thought I was colorblind when I logged on here.
am I the only one who sees this as an empty text or is it just me
I see it empty too.
It's empty for me too. What did you try to post?

facepalm I never read those buttons xD
How did you do that?

I see the same thing: The image being broken on your profile, but fine here.
What's with the "last edited 1 by Anonymous" thing?
As much I like white environment, let's add some color.
Aesthetically this is a setback but that's just my opinion.
I don't mind it, but so far I'm only on mobile. Excited to see this on PC later.
Eggplant emoji
It looks the same.
Alright, thank you very much. As always your work here is always appreciated

I'll be honest, I'm kind of digging this more 'blank' look, it feels so... fancy.... xD

Feed doesnt update anymre
Lol. I thought only forums were changed but damn, whole site looks nice at telltale.com
idk if anyone said this already or if it's been fixed but my choices for MCSM won't load, I left it going for nearly an hour and it wouldn't show them

Nope, i see a reply of 2 days ago in feed. New isnt showing up
Nah, it's usually like that. On the old forum, Tales From the Borderlands would always take really long to load. Still does now!
It took me all day to figure out how to log in. Reset my password twice, tried old passwords... What a mess. But I'm back now. We made it.
Ookay... My last visit was July 20th at 2:34 am. It's only July 19th 11:08pm where I live, so....?
I OFFICIALLY COME... FROM THE FUTURE!!
Are you on a proxy or vpn by chance?

The forum update just came out today. You are still going to see notifications from before, but people are not getting reply notifications from today.
All I want are my notifications back, and I'll get used to it.
That would have made it -2GMT ... which is in the middle of nowhere, only containing a few islands.
When I revisit a thread, it never sets me on the latest page.
I'm getting that too. When I open this thread, it keeps sending me to page 11.
