I can't wait to see what telltale has planned. #3 on my lists of booths to visit (behind 2 booths that have exclusives I want)

Also... what was in

I'd love to go to conventions like this but living in England makes it very difficult (not to mention expensive).

A slightly smaller crate of doom. :D

That's where they keep the pirates who pass out the buttons. Just don't tell Equity!

I am boarding a train bound for San Diego on Friday morning. I should be in the area around 10:10 AM, if the train schedule is to be believed. I plan to sneak in a few snack foods this year, too. I hope that nobody minds. Some may call me a cheapskate, but convention center food is super expensive. I may buy a soda, though.

I'll be there all the days.

Just noticed the time - I better get moving for tonight, hah.

Whoever is going; it looks like you might get a chance to try out Season Three of a popular franchise. ;)

From what I've heard, Season 3 is not far enough along that it can be demoed. That looks like it could be several locations from the earlier games.

Doesn't look like season 3 to me

Bzzt, that's Season Two! Possibly on Xbox or Wii, or maybe plain old PC... but its not Season Three. It might be Season One even. If there was a new Sam & Max at Comic-Con, trust me, we'd be a lot more overt about it, or a lot more coy and sassy.

There is an impostor Jake at the show right now (Marketing Intern Jake, not to be confused with me, General Purpose Jake) so don't be fooled.

Aw, too bad. Wait, covert huh. Does that mean anything you AREN'T showing off in those photos is real?

    ....

New Maniac Mansion and Futurama titles everybody! :p

(Last time I cry wolf, I promise haha.)

Living around the southern end of the east coast kind of makes the idea a bit too expensive for my wallet, once college expenses are factored in. :(

Why not love for Georgia, anyway? We have...um...DragonCon....

Tonight I took in 3 bottles of water, a baggy of Beef Jerky and a Baggie of roasted cashews, and when the water ran out I refilled them at a drinking fountain. Gonna so the same for the next few days too.

The Con way over charges for everything, but mainly I don't want to have to wait in line for food, I'm having to wait inline for enough other stuff.

I've consumed way too many gross Comic-Con hot dogs in my time at Telltale. This trend will continue starting Friday.
  • edited July 2009
Yeah, I definitely am bringing some water for the next few days. Starbucks is even charging more than their usual insanely high prices.

I'm going to be swinging by tomorrow for one of the Hard Cover sam&max books.

I will keep my eye out for the imposter I hear is roaming around jake.

Got my hands on the Buttons/Badges/Pins tonight.

    They look pretty kickass...

and yes, that is a "Ask me about Tales Of MONKEY ISLAND (TM)" Button

    TTGpins.jpg

also as you can see, I have been consuming of the Beverages (That's my 7th beer I think. There were some Spirits mixed in there too.)

    Party on, congoers!

    Nifty set of buttons.

Are those Con-only buttons? I've seen them around the forums, but have no idea how to get them.

Argh! I almost got tickets to ComicCon but couldn't get anyone to come with me. I would've gone for sure if I knew MI was going to come back into my life =D
And I suppose those buttons will be gone next year... oh woe is me!

    I arrived yesterday. Although the place I'm staying isn't at all ideal, I'm hoping I'll have fun at the convention. ^^;

Still around an hour to go until closing today. I had a good time walking the floor and playing some games and left a bit early today to make sure I don't burn out. Note to self: Leave your credit card at home tomorrow, haha.

My user title is also a reference to a flavor text by the same character.
And my old sig was also by her, "Some have said there's no subtlety to destruction. You know what? They're dead."

I don't know, did you say to yourself today, "I *need* one of these giant dice for my life total?"

If not, then I probably win :p

OMG! I think i would desperatly need that Strong bad button. Not traveling-half-way-around-the-world-to-get-it-desperate, but walk-to-the-store-and-buy-it-for-$5.95-desperate.

Why would I say that, when I already have a giant die for my life total? :p

You'd left your giant die at home, perhaps?

PS. I leave for the train station in less than an hour. San Diego, here I come.

It's not so much the original poster that disturbs me as is the general thread reaction of trying to help her with her ill conceived wedding plans instead of going "...what the hell."

It makes me glad I only use their forums for forum games and stopped playing their game. It's a fun game and everything, but it's like a cult or something!

I initially started around the time 5th edition came out, stopped playing after Mercadian Masques for a few years, picked it back up during Time Spiral block, and quit again at the end of Time Spiral block. Both times were because I was sick of new sets coming out way sooner than I was ready to move on to a new set.

Also tried playing in a couple casual tournaments at my local game shop during Time Spiral, couldn't stand half the people there.

That part really sucks. As I have to have some knowledge of MTG to run mafia games there on the subforum, I keep up with most of the changes. The game has really gone downhill.

I used to play at a card shop where everyone smoked. The couple of times I've been there since the Ohio smoking ban smelled like sweat and grime, and it wasn't the shopkeeper's fault.
