Which to play first?

Hey guys, I'm going back and playing some old adventure games that I never played back in the day and I was just wondering which you think I should play first.

Fate of Atlantis would be my first choice, then Day of the Tentacle. I don't know, I just never could get into Day of the Tentacle like the other mega-franchises Lucasarts had. I'm sure many many many many many many many others will disagree with me on this one.

Honestly it's really down to whether I should play Maniac Mansion or Maniac Mansion Deluxe. But the others intrigue me as well so I put them on there (I know DOTT is technically MM's sequel).

If you're set on playing Maniac Mansion first...

Maniac Mansion Deluxe ---> Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis ---> Day of the Tentacle ----> Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Play the Deluxe over the original as the original just has not aged well. Fate is my opinion the best out of all the games listed. DoTT is also a great, great game. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade...hasn't aged as well.

Well I have another question about the Indy games. I remember a while back playing one of them with one of my friends and he showed me that you fight with the number pad...however, I will most likely be playing these on a laptop that does not have a number pad, would that cause a problem?

I recall hitting people with a mouse in Fate. I don't remember Crusade well enough.

I am pretty sure you can use the numbers at the top of the keyboard also. A bit awkward since the different punches/blocks are all mixed together, but still possible.

I think there was a magic "instant sucker punch" key that made you win there and then, if you have a funny keyboard I suggest using that.. although I can't for the life of me remember which key it was
