Batman (The Silent Treatment)

Hi, been a long time since the borderlands. Now we have Batman to play with.

The silent treatment now befalls on our favourite brooding vigilante & billionaire Batman.

When i first started, it's already hilarious in some scenes.

Come join the fun in seeing which QTE is the key point to survive and which can be skipped and what the result is...

It may have bew reaction, different moves & different results... Or just the same Oo

Episode 1:
Part 1: The Silent Knight

Comments

  • I see Telltale didn't really bother with failed QTEs this time.

  • I like in how most of those failed QTEs the game, like, quietly presses the button for you. Looking forward to me, I like seeing silent playthroughs!

  • oh my god. I felt like a fucking ninja doing all these QTEs LOL. Turns out I didn't have to do anything...

Maybe they just felt like it was ridiculous to see Batman get his ass kicked by random goons

I mean, seeing Batman get knocked unconscious by one measly punch from random goon #756 would be a little bit out of place, if you ask me

That being said, they still could have done with some more game over screens. Especially since the game over screens in this series look pretty cool.

  • lol, ya

but problem is, u must hit they key point or "last" one to survive, had to repeat over & over again
counting how many moves i can ignore, then finally hit the right one.

also the checkpoint is so far, if there's 3x combat parts before the next point, i had to repeat them all just to learn the 3rd one and remember the past two also, lol

  • That may be more true then we might think...

which would be seen in the 3rd video... still finishing up the 2nd one

where he faced the lowest level of goons, he won't even get hurt by doing nothing. :)

  • Yes you do, well for some of them.

If you see the arrow flash orange or the E / Q distorted, means I'm clicking it to survive.
If not, he's just brushing through it.

I would say like an amateur, but if i'm not mistaken, the moves he made looks the same as if you did press it.
    :)

    Realm of Shadows

    Part 1: The Silent Knight

    Part 2: The Silent Host

    Part 3: The Final Night

Trying to keep events of each video in the game's daily perspective, thanks to the time it shows

    minutes of editing later...

crap, that means the finale video is long :o

FYI: if u haven't noticed earlier, at the end of each episodes are things I try or various ways of dying, etc.
    :)

  • Batman! The Silent Knight! :D

    Part 3: The final Night

    Timeline-wise, correct me if wrong:
It's been only 2 nights in this first episode isn't it?

I went all Two Face in choosing who to give u know what to u know who two.

Flip a coin twice and it shows the same person, so be it...

  • To be honest, I have seen so much stuff that I might as well refund at this point (the PC release is still borked past 1080p when it comes to mouse.)

  • What do you mean? about the mouse i mean.

  • Ah, alright. Still, I think they should've put more effort in it, but eh. It's just the first episode, maybe we'll see more variety in the next one.

Your cursor is stuck 1:4 part of the whole screen in 4K resolution. Meaning you can't even reach the game exit button without using a keyboard or controller. What's worse it's that it's not from center of the screen so you can't select any dialogue choices.

  • Ic, so because I played in 1280x720
I have no problem with that? Is it?

    Interesting.

It's because their engine caps mouse's area to 1920 x 1080. Your resolution is below the cap, thus fine.

There are some old games that have the same problem but they came out so many years ago that it's acceptable.

  • I remember in the beginning of the episode where you're fighting those first goons you can die instantly if one goon throws you through a door (think it was a door?). It looks hilarious.

  • Can't remember, lol

Only thing I recall someone break me through I survived i think...

  • Michonne was the same way. Walker kills have the same animation, and some don't even fucking make sense. People kills are probably a shot in the head. At least in Michonne she can die from more than three failed QTEs per episode.

  • Interesting, haven't played that yet myself.

Is it canon to the rest of the telltale walking dead games?

  • Canon yes, but no one from the other games show up.

and some don't even fucking make sense

The hardened warrior Michonne, who has hacked and slashed her way through 2 years of the apocalypse... ultimately dying to a walker with no arms.

    Episode 2: Children of Arkham

    Vote for Harvey Dent

    Hi Everyone,

glad to be back from a long trip and so excited to try out Episode 2

What are the results of the silent treatment will bring.
    :)

Suffice to say, they "improved" a bit on the combat, if u can call it that.

There's still some moments where doing nothing have the same result but there are more embarising moments for both Bruce & Bats

The rest are just death scenes (same types, different situations)
triggered if we don't do anything, I can still see the winning animation then jump to a death scene... sometimes by the hands of someone who wasn't even doing the killing blow...

I'm glad they made it a possibility to save Mr. Dent & see if he'll be saved from being Two-Face, or is the psychological trauma will still have the same result?

The "Next time" scene is certainly odd in some parts...

    Death Scenes
Speaking of death scenes, they're all compiled at the end around
    1:15 (Death scenes)

  • But it's not even about getting knocked out. Some of the QTEs just don't matter, if you hit it or not you still get the same result.

  • In Episode 2,

in the animation u can see u still will "win" if u do nothing, but they just throw in a game over scene just to point out we didn't do anything...

heck, not just that, the G.O. scene shown may not even be the person ur fighting with, but just a person they picked to show us over & over again if we do nothing...
It's like editing a winning video & slotting in the same failed video in various spots of the QTE moment

  • New World Order

First i like to say, i love the new checkpoints, keeps saving after an important attack, so i don't have to start over far away like previous episodes. :)

    Thanks Telltale

My main playthrough will follow saving Harvey from the previous episode.

Then chose him priority if a choice is available, will make a short video of choosing the other choice

Then a 2nd playthrough where we save selina in the previous episode. :)

  • For Cat fans

Here's the playthrough of choosing to save Selina over Harvey.

Choices in this one will differ to Harvey's. Who i save or tell to stay...

So we can see what's the difference if any. :)

    Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham
    Support Harvey

  • Episode 5: City of Lights
    Harvey's Path

The final Episode, this is following the path of saving Harvey and sending him to Arkham. Wasn't sure what will happen in Black Gate but I decided to send him to Arkham because we're heading there, as this is choosing everything with him, this was the only way whatever the consequences to him.

During the QTEs, you can see how far Bat will survive without any action until a death scene. If you don't see a death scene, means I wasn't clicking anything at the time.
After that I'll click what is necessary. :)
Same with episode 4 in the post above. For some reason i can't edit and add both together...

Hope you enjoy watching what transpires by saying nothing and doing nothing as much as possible, also saving HARVEY DENT all the way. Interesting result in Wayne manner in Ep 4
