My only complaint
I loved the game when I ran through it, but the one thing that stuck out to me was that, even though you get multiple dialog options, no matter what, Guybrush will respond with the same generic dialog. Instead of a unique dialog option leading into a hilarious off centered joke that goes nowhere like the original series did, TTG seemed to go the easy route, and at times it really kills the mood :<

I seriously doubt that's the case, but it'd be pretty neat.
This isn't new to MI. This has happened several times before in almost every game, most notably in conversations with the voodoo lady.
Yep. I expect they might tone it down slightly considering how many people dislike that... same goes with the Driftwood/Seepgood/Nogood thing.
YES! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. This is what I've been trying to say for days! It's not a new concept!
But if Telltale changes everything that is complained about in these forums, it will not be TMI anymore. Who's designing the game anyway? The fans or the guys who are actually PAID to do so.
The first game had WAY more of that than TMI did. Almost every character called Guybrush at least 10 different variations of it.
Wouldn't be Monkey Island without it!
I still think TMI was near perfect
No one is suggesting they change everything that's requested and I certainly don't mind if they change nothing... but if they ARE going to, I think these small common criticisms are what they're most likely to consider for future episodes as it wouldn't involve any reprogramming.
While both of those things got to me for the first 15 minutes or so, I was fine with them later on and thoroughly enjoyed the game. I'm literally counting down the days until episode two. I also can't wait to play it all again when they're all out.
I think you're probably right, perhaps it's the emphasis in the voices that makes it more noticeable?
Damn that finger snapping to hell. Not only did it ruin Monkey Island but also every other game that has EVER existed.
Goodness knows a company might actually listen to the criticisms of the people who's paying them! BLASPHEMY!
