    Sam's
    personal Hell
    in What's New, Beelzebub?.

Also, I guess it doesn't count as a game moment, but the reversable Videlectrix cover on the SBCG4AP DVD was gold. Especially the blurb. A video game made by a video game making company? I think I might faint.

The whole "Dangeresque 3"-Episode. I never had such a good laugh during a whole game.

The Cheat in a bikini for Battle of the Bands. Awesome.

Hmm... I wasn't greatly impressed by the demo of Strong Bad, but I'm hearing so much praise it might be time to use my free game coupon and get a full episode.

It simply isn't fair to compare Sam and Max with everything else, it's just on a higher pedestal. Monkey Island really is the only one of them that has a CHANCE, and I don't think it has developed far enough that it can breach the top ten list of Sam and Max moments.

The food related love song in SBCG4AP is one of the top moments for me, although I say that since I'm listening back to it at the moment.

    Ohhh fondue!
It's so warm and its gooey
    Fonduey, so truey

    The moment when Guybrush
tries to take the key from the monkey with his tongue
I actually laughed my bottom off. It's just so funny. Oh, and the
    Superball song
    in "Abe must Die"

Pretty much all of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Episode IV: Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective*, Reality 2.0 in, well, Reality 2.0, and almost anything that comes from the mouth of Guybrush Threepwood.

    Oh! And
the ending of 8-Bit Must Die.
    Pure Strong Bad.

*I refuse to abbreviate that name on the grounds that is detracts from the awesomeness.

Guess who's standing behind the shower curtain with a knife?!

I can't think of a specific example, but almost everything that Max says cracks me up... ...little buddy.

    Seconding above poster.

Max is hilarious, played the Sam and Max games with my girlfriend, both of us cracked up with Max devilish comments.

Ah...I remember the first time playing a Sam and Max game....was Ice Station Santa... came across Bluster Blaster... my brother was watching me play....and...well, we cracked up just about every time he talked. "D*** HIPPIES!"

Goodness, me and my brother laughed nonstop after that.
  • edited July 2009
    Maxes
    "joke"
in abe Licoln Must Die. No one in my family besides me thought they were funny (dull family) until that little part.

That's kind of a vague question don't cha think? That's like me asking, "Dear Homestarlover, what's your favorite molecule of air that you've breathed?"

For me... It's definitely examining the cardboard helicopter set in Dangeresque 3, or the
    death of Dadgeresque
. And the end boss for 8-bit is Enough is hilarious.

Or maybe it's when we converse about philosophy with the Maimtron 9000. And Launch of the Screaming Narwhal is filled with crowning moments of funny.

    I just can't decide.

It changes from moment to moment, but amongst my current favorites:

    Max's soliloquy in S1E3.

"It's not all laughs and dyspepsia, l'il buddy!" - Sam

The FPS sequence in SBCG4AP's finale.

Anything Homsar in any SBCG4AP episode.

    Anything involving Gromit's facial expressions.

EDIT: Also, "Why do birds suddenly appear whenever you are near?" - Max

the war song from abe lincoln must die, torture me elmer from ice station santa, and the car "chase" from dangeresque 3. in fact, i agree with everyone else, dangeresque 3 was pretty much the funniest and best episode ever. as of now, i might replay it.

Oh man; this is a hard one. I can't really choose so I'll list a couple.

All of the Santino parts in Tales, especially the beheading scene. Looking back now, Tales really is every bit a classic adventure game in humor and gameplay.

Max's Presidential speech, especially the Chupacabra line in Season One.

The Mario reference in Season One.

All of Chariot of the Dogs.

When an item Wallace needs lands on the bust of one Ms. Flitt. in Fright of the Bumblebees. I just about died.

Sending Sam to mind-numbing dimensions and watching him come back spewing eldritch gibberish in Season 3. And Sal falling in 304. And the seance. And when Max comes back at the end of 305, and him and Sam are just staring into the elevator.

    Sam & Max 104:

Seeing Leonard Steakcharmer as the souvenir from the previous episode the first time.
    Krypton joke.

    Sam & Max 305:

Maimtrons: If you like it you should've put a ring on it, if you like it you should've put a ring on it...

Sam: One recipe to rule them all, and one egg for binding.
    Max's Spore: NNNEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDD!

Hit the Road references in the said episode.

Sam: How do you guys keep flaming?
Spore: WE'RE FUELED BY THE INEXTINGUISHABLE FLAMES OF HUMAN IMAGINATION! Also, kerosene.
Sam: I can't see any kerosene. Where is the supply line?
Spore: That's none of your damn...*slapped*
Sam: A-a-ah, noone can use my little buddy's catchphrases.

    ToMI 103:
It wasn't really the funniest, but when Morgan asked Guybrush to sign the autograph RIGHT AFTER she tried to kill him gave me an awkward smile. Well, anything hinting Morgan's cute fangirlism gives me that particular smile~

    204: Time stream altered... Jackass

Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 4:

Love it when Guybrush talks to himself in his pretense when he represents himself, and when he calls himself to the stand and acts like an idiot to make Judge Grindstump mad. I especially LOLed SO hard at the Judge's pox-enraged scream! :D

Sam and Max 102 (I think)

Sybil: "...All the guys I know are either total losers or borderline psychopaths!"
Sam: "I'm trying very hard not to be offended."
Max: "It's the borderline cases that you have to watch out for!"

And a close second from TOMI:

Guybrush: "If only I'd gone to University I would be able to mix these chemicals together into a powerful acid to eat through my bonds. But, I'm a pirate, so I'll just say: Arrrrrgh!"

Both of these make me laugh every time. :D

    104 actually.

And I'm trying to figure out how the hell I was able to memorize this.

Gah! That was my second guess!

Oh well, I have a hard time keeping up with Sybil's ever-changing jobs in any case...

As it was probably already mentioned one of my favorites was BANANGGGGG!!!!! BA NANGGGGGGGGG! I SAID BAAAAAA!!!! NAAAAANGGGGGGGG! GG! G!!! G!

Pretty much all of the Trial bits in episode four of Tales of Monkey Island were hilarious, but the two parts that slay me are when Guybrush asks himself where he was on the night of August 15 and the whole scene that follows pox crazed Elaine kicking in the door of the courthouse.

Manatee match-making. Add that it draws parallels to Guybrush and Morgan, and yowza.

I also like biting humor, and there's been some of that. (Ultimate example is from The Big Lebowski: "Smokey, this isn't 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.")

Unexpected humor that ties in to the overall atmosphere? Dangeresque 3 had a good jump cut (when they jump off the building and turn into dolls).

There's a lot of little touches in games like Lair of the Leviathan, like Guybrush's hook sliding off when they first slide down to the manatee belly, or the look he gives Morgan when she goes, "Let's slice up those three."

The Penal Zone, when Max takes off the future vision toy and sees Skunkape, wonders where Skunkape is going to come from, and then Skunkape arrives.

"Lincoln SMASH!" - Abe Lincoln Must Die

There's a bunch. My hope is the level of humor reaches Portal or Coen Brothers levels soon, but so far it's been good.

Oh, that one is completely funny! I have to admit that I only saw it during my second playthrough. (yesterday.) At the first time, I only saw the scene in the jail. The part with Guybrush fighting himself is just hilarious.

Also, the pirate face-off in the Lair of the Leviathan completely surprised me at first, and my favourite part of it are the voices Guybrush and Bugeye make when their faces include 'gomer' or 'geezer'. The whole part is just brilliantly silly.

Edit: I would also like to mention the Bone series. No matter how many times I played them, (and this is no small number,) I laughed from the same jokes again and again. (Well, at least after my English improved. At the beginning, I probably didn't understand most jokes.) Here are some notable moments:

    (Out from Boneville)
The dragon's answer when asked whether he saw Fone's cousins. (Edit: A similar thing happens when you ask the glassblower about Elaine in episode 4 of ToMI.)
Smiley's song right after the introduction.

    (The Great Cow Race)
The fair games soundtrack! (This video also includes some funny pictures.)
    The bee's cigar.

Also, back to Monkey Island, the whole part with Moose and Santino (even before
    Murray
    ) was hilarious.

The whole section where Guybrush is explaining adventure game inventory manipulation to LeChuck made me laugh out loud. Childish, I know, but funny nonetheless.

Like "Use... claw thingie... yourself"? That may be a mild suggestive theme, but funny, nonetheless. :p

If something that tame is really considered to be a mild suggestive theme, "LIKE A VOLCANOOOO" should be just the cause of a 18+ rating.

What about Guybrush playing with his/her earrings and his/her breasts as the Voodoo Lady? :p

How about the fishnets line or better, this one, "Would you mind releasing my wife? She gets a little cranky when she's tied up for more than an hour." ?
