Cult Gaming
What are some 'cult' games that people like to play? (Cult meaning not super popular, but with major acclaim and a highly dedicated fanbase)
Recently I've been binge playing 'Pyschonauts,' and it feels like Banjo-Kazooie made by Tim Burton...

Off the top of my head:
Grim Fandango
The Stanley Parable
Alice: Madness Returns
Catherine
Alan Wake
Hotline Miami
Spec Ops: The Line
Psychonauts
Fatal Frame
Bitmap Brother's Z
Steambot Chronicles (Bumpy Trot)
Metal Saga
Rise of Flight: The First Great Air War
Yess, psychonauts is my favorite game of all time. I love it when I meet people that have played it. Black velvetopia is my favorite level fyi. When psychonauts 2 was announced I was shrieking.
Call of Juarez series
Spec Ops: The Line
Bulletstorm
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series
Gothic series (except Arcania)
Metro series
Dishonored
Splinter Cell series
and there's probably hella lot more but I just can't remember all of those games
Is there an generation limit? Call of Juarez , and I would wager there are some non-wrestling games made by THQ that rock! I know there are,I've played them. I can't remember, but for a very long period,THQ was my fave game company. At some point , all I could find on the shelves was Smack Down VS Raw. A great Series to be sure, but far from the only good thing they made! RIP THQ!:(
Both Metro games come to mind. There's also Spec Ops: The Line and the two Homefront games. I'd recommend all of those games.
Hatred wishes it was one-tenths the game Postal 2 was and still is.
Gal gun
Dead or alive xtreme
Worms
Grim fandango
Primal
Manhunt
Pokemon conquest
Edit: metal slug
Might add more later.
Catherine, grim fandango and fatal frame (called project zero in my country) are great games
Oh, I liked alice too "but you dont get centaurs in london" shudder
Alright, this took me some reminiscing.
Also:
Yessssss. Metro is excellent.
Of all the cult games out there I think we all can agree that Mirror's Edge is number one:
