question on MI series

Okay the first game i played was escape from monkey island on ps2 andfell in love. I just recently download the special edition of secret of monkey island, and i have almost beaten it. I have just bought and download the tales of monkey island as well, i am hooked on the series. So my question all the games names and what order are they in.

Secret of Monkey Island (which you have)
    LeChuck's Revenge
    Curse of Monkey Island
Escape from Monkey Island (which you have)
Tales of Monkey Island (which you have)

    in that order.

Don't you just hate it when companies use a secondary title instead of numbering each game in a series?

Well, LeChuck's Revenge's official name was Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. From then on they removed the number for some reason, probably because there weren't subtitles. Of course, they could have called the later games Monkey Island 3: The Curse, or Monkey Island 4: The Escape. But I'm happy they didn't.

I always liked the names of the games..Remind me of old action pulp novels you'd find in the early 40's.

No, not really. Gives the game more character to reffer to.

Yeah it'd be boring if it was just Monkey Island <insert number>

Inless it was Monkey Island 5
Because that just sounds like the best thing ever.

No, how difficult is it to... ESCAPE FROM MONKEY ISLAND™?!
