The Silent option may be valid, but is it used?
I want to know how many of you use the silent option - [...] - in Telltale's games. Mainly because I don't see many other people on YouTube use it frequently or at all.
Personally, I've found I use it more often now during climactic moments than I did 4 years ago on my first playthrough of TWD. Whether to listen in more on what a character's saying, or if I can't make up my mind, or if silence is just the right thing to do...
So, I ask you: Do you use the silent option? When? or For what reason? Does it depend on the game (TWD, GoT, TFTB, Minecraft[?]) and situation?
Please, voice your opinions..

Depends. If someone states something and I do not like the options, I will choose silent. If I do not know what to say, I will choose silent.
I rarely use it, but I remember using it in Tales From The Borderlands more than others.
I don't often choose to be silent that much, but when I do, I usually choose it when I feel its appropriate, others times when I rarely don't feel confident enough about the dialogue options I see during 1st playthroughs or when I don't even know what to say. I even sometimes rewind to choose to be silent at a certain moment to see what happens.
I like to do silent runs, but only once I finished my canon playthrough. I felt I used the silent option most with Batman though, which actually feels pretty good so far.
I only use the silence option when I feel that words are unneccessary in this situation or I just have nothing to say. It doesn't happen often though.
Whenever my only options were to say mildly rude things to snow, I stayed silent.
I recently watched a playthrough of Episode 1(Batman) where the player did nothing except the moments where they had to. It was more of a point on Telltale's illusion of choice than it was for comedy. Now I know why this particular group is despised here(apparently they did it for the last couple games too). There really was no difference except the auto-selected choices MAY be different than the ones the player MAY have made.
The silent moments were amusing sometimes. Other times, the characters said something anyway.
I pick it more often than you might think. Sometimes the silent option just fits.
I never pick the silent option.
I pick the silent options sometimes in the batman game..
I use it pretty often, usually when I just don't like any of the dialogue options, or if it makes sense in context. For example if I'm playing as Bigby or Bruce and somebody's commenting on my actions, I'll choose the silent option if I don't want to apologise or be an asshole and try to justify them. I also used it fairly often playing as Clementine to make her seem distant and distrusting. I guess I do pick 'the silent option' in my day-to-day life pretty often too, so maybe I'm just used to it.
I use it whenever I feel that all the presented options aren't very good.
I actually use it pretty frequently. Sometimes none of the dialogue options feel right, and other times I feel like adding anything else to a conversation is unnecessary. Additionally, I completely panic on choosing a dialogue option in more tense situations and either let the timer run out or just decide to say nothing.
I remember that during Kenny's boat escapade I choose the silent option a few times because I felt extremely awkward and felt some of the options were a little harsh.
It really depends on whats happening or what options Im given are.
For example, in Walking Dead Season 2, at the start of episode 5 during the shoot out, Kenny grabs Arvo as a hostage to stop the last guy. For some reason every option was "Kenny you stop that strategy to live right now!"
Yeah I use it a lot.
