Tales of Monkey Island TV advert

I was watching CITV... with my little sister, when all of a sudden there was an advert for Tales of Monkey Island!
Although I'm not sure what the advert was about because I wasn't paying attention until I heard someone say "Monkey Island" and by the time I'd realised it was the TV the advert was pretty much over.
Needless to say I'll be watching CITV all of today hoping to see that advert again.

But anyway, has anyone else seen this advert?
Did anyone else sit in front of their TV babbling incoherently about Monkey Island for several hours after seeing said advert?

Can you record it and place it on youtube?

    I will definitely try.

It's certainly doing well if TTG can afford an advert...

Did you think that perhaps it's Lucas Arts who are have paid for the ad?

Don't think so. LA's greedy. They would pay for an ad only if the game already made some money. If not, they would abandon their cooperation with TTG and forget about adventure games for another 10 years.

    That's true. :)

From what I remember it was very short and part of a bigger advert. There was a bit of text in the corner that said something along the lines of "Clips from Telltale Games". It showed bits of this trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHojfwdLucI
I didn't really notice it until it was too late but I'll try and record it if I see it again. I'm a bit busy today but I'll watch out for it when I can.

As much as I don't like LucasArts, I'm pretty sure it's not their responsibility to make the ad. They just take in the licensing fees, whatever those are and however those are calculated.

That's what I said in my first post : ) The second one was just a speculation about Hitman's theory.

But this situation of TellTale doing a game on a LucasArts franchise, is really so different of, i.e., BioWare doing a game (KOTOR) on other LucasArts franchise (Star Wars)?

It is, in that LucasArts was the publisher in that case, wheras so far Telltale has self-published.

CITV? Are you sure? If you're right about there being an advert, I dare say they've gone and put it on the wrong channel. Surely something like Dave would have been more suitable?

Yeah it was a bit strange - very unexpected!

It was in amongst all these cartoons and stuff...

But I have witnesses! There was definitely some kind of Tales of Monkey Island tv advert thing on CITV.
