I enjoyed Life is Strange a lot it is a great game I just wish it didn't hop around a lot in terms of time because I was confused once or twice! But other than that great game!
...And it's been an absolute disappointment for a year as well.
The story having downright unintentionally comedic dialogue, poor pacing,… more dull characters, events that were never expanded or explored upon, a villain that perhaps had the single worse motivation of any antagonist of any games I've seen, and the awful endings ties a game trying so hard to be a rich cinematic experience but not understanding it's a video game and players want to be immersed by gameplay not talking to people in a small box or having the most boring protagonist ever muttering listless thoughts about a flower or a skateboard with her hipster paraphrasing only making people like me cringe cause of how awful it is.
Don't make a sequel.
I enjoyed it for the most part until the finale which I still think is really really bad compared the previous episodes. Just really poor execution with an ending that people predicted would happen when Episode 1 had been released. It got way too repetitive and stretched out to meet a time limit.
The first episode is still the best episode to me. It would have been damn near perfect if they had gotten better voice actors and better animation.
The mechanics of the game were very innovative and I liked the aesthetic of it all, but the characters were rather flat, the voice acting was mehh, and the final episode.... oh boy. Not a good decision to end it the way they did. Overall, I would say it still ranks below the Telltale games I've played.
I really enjoyed the game, even though the finale fell flat. I liked that they tried to do something different, and that they were rewarded with good sales figures.
It wasn't bad but I do think it's kinda overrated. The music is wonderful, but its story and characters were... ugh. I'm in the minority here but I strongly dislike Chloe. My favorite character in the game was Warren. The final choice was too obvious for me, I didn't even have to think about it. If it had been Warren, though...

1000% agree. LiS is really overrated.

The game we want but not the game we need
