Not the best TellTale Game

Honestly not great. I feel this version of Batman falls flat. I also don't like that Bruce is being blamed for his parents actions (especially since they've been dead for years), I'm sorry but it's just lazy writing. Batman just doesn't feel like Batman, (and honestly I think he's been over used). I would not recommend on making a second season.

  • I think the game's fantastic.
    Even though I've only played episode 1, I'd like a season 2.

We all have our own opinions.

  • I'm having a great time with the game. I really like the Batman universe that they have built and I would really like if Telltale were to expand it with more seasons.

  • I think it's great and hope it gets multiple seasons.

  • This is honestly becoming my favorite adaptation of Batman, they actually gave him emotions!

I'd also have to say, this is to me, Telltales best game they've made in about a year

I have to disagree, this is the only Batman interpretation where Bruce isn't either arrogant, brooding, or just an ass in general. He's actually relatable and it is a joy to play as him. I'm someone who really dislike Batman overall, but TT did a good job and surprisingly got my attention with this game. I hope there are more seasons of this game.

  • K. Thanks for letting us know.

  • It would be nice to see TellTale write more self-contained stories for a change, instead of leaving projects on cliffhangers. Apart from that though, I think this is a pretty solid TellTale game thus far. To each their own.

I think most criticism of the Telltale series is based on people being too used to seeing Batman depicted as an invincible badass. There's only so far you can take that sort of characterization before it gets boring as hell.

This Batman is still endeavoring to be a do-gooder, but the fact his parents have also given him a whopper of a cross to bear distinguishes him from every other version we've seen to date.

  • And I think this is one of the best TT games. If the next 2 episodes are as good as the previous ones, it'll definitely see a place in my personal TOP 3 Telltale games list.

  • Im liking this game pretty far, I hope there is a season 2. But each there own.

  • Yeah I am thinking that this game is going to be eventually seen in the same light as TWD and TWAU. The writing is well done, the characters are interesting and more importantly you feel for them. Poor Harvey when he left Selina's apartment crying that he was alone...the voice acting is top notch...what ever you can say about Laura and Troy...they bring their A game...and all the other Actors are giving amazing performances.

I am still confused how they are doing these DC comics and Marvel...usually that is a no no. But the Marvel series will have to be AMAZING to top this.

And this series gives me major hope for Season 3 TWD.

    So..I guess I am a fan.

  • [removed]

  • Have you ever played either of them?

  • Same, it removed all doubts I had for TWD Season 3.

Yeah I am thinking that this game is going to be eventually seen in the same light as TWD and TWAU. The writing is well done, the character

  • It all started with Minecraft.

I'd say it all started when overzealous fans started to blame every game for the apparently unsuccessful ones. TWD season 1 is bad? "DW, It's Back to the future's fault, yo!" Season 2 is bad? "Blame Fables." etc

  • It's amazing game for me. Bruce is amazing ! And so and Bat :D :)

  • play oxenfree. it was made by former telltale people. it's a 4 hour self contained story and it's fantastic.

  • well it was made by the tales team. and that game was great.

  • i never heard anyone blame back to the future for anything. [ it would have been Jurassic park :P.] and no one thought season 1 of twd was bad as far as i remember.

  • i liked it until the reveal in ep3 on our villain.. of all characters and villians you chose THIS to be IT? I hated the reveal and I've never disliked any telltale reveal before.

  • It's not my favorite TellTale game but as a reader of comics for almost 3 decades, i approve.

  • I gave it a try, and was very impressed by most of what it accomplished. I hope this new genre (dialogue-focused point-and-click adventure) in the making finds more outlets like these in the stories it has to tell. :)

  • I agree. I know it won't be a popular opinion but I'm really just not enjoying this series. Troy Baker feels completely uninspired as Bruce Wayne, he sounds more like Rhys than anyone else most of the time. The engine stutters and lags constantly, and I'm on PS4 running Fallout and Skyrim flawlessly so this is just sad and disappointing. The combat is on rails, even when I choose not to press the buttons Batman still does a crazy move and finishes the bad guy. The scenes jump around way too much for my liking, we have various loading screens just for a 15 second scene of Bruce driving somewhere in the Batmobile. It also feels really difficult to play Batman any differently than you're supposed to. Batman operates in a very specific way and if you don't act in accordance then the story gets sort of convoluted.

I loved every TT game I've played so far, even my least favorite (Minecraft) was incredibly fun and endearing in it's own right. I was excited about Batman but I just haven't been able to get into it, and we're only 2 episodes away from it being done. This is my opinion so try not to attack me lol

  • I'm loving the game so far and cant wait for episode 4! and I do hope they make more seasons!

Aw man, I was just about to pick up this wooden plank with a bunch of nails in it to hit you with

  • So far I think only TWD S1 and Tales were better TTG games than this Batman (counting the interactive stories only)

I thought that Telltale have done a great job tackling a character as tough as Batman. Batman is difficult to tackle for anyone because he's hugely popular and many fans have very strong opinions on him and often refuse to accept anything other than their version of him. I'm a huge batman fan myself (It being one of the only western things that I actually have any interest in) and appreciate the effort Telltale have put into this story. I honestly thought that I'd hate it but after playing it I have enjoyed it much more than Arkham Knight.

  • I personally think that this game is the best of all the telltale games this year i love the story and the world they made and i really like this version of batman and i dont think he's repetitive

  • Highly impressed by what Telltale have made of the Batman lore. I don't want this season to end and I hope a season 2 is planned.

Yes...want a season 2...but where are they going to find the time...GoT s2..Marvel...Super show whatever that is...an original iP. Something tells me that there is a lot of discussions going on about this.

  • I wasn't WILD about it but it's always possible I could be persuaded. We need to see her reasons and what she does now that we know. Right now it's a cliffhanger and we know nothing but she is probably in a leadership position and hates Bruce for some reason.
