Probably because people are too busy arguing about a certain two characters and that's overshadowing the argument over the quality of the episode itself... just a guess xD
In space?...she is still on the Citadel...the Citadel has Mass Effect cores that maintain environmental shields and Gravity....even the massive damage done to it would not change that fact.
I'm damn excited about it but I've been keeping myself from learning too much about it. I only watched a trailer or two and that was it. I'm really curious with the story for this one will be.
They did say that, but I don't recall where. So it had to have launched somewhere within 40 years before Mass Effect takes place(The discovery of the Mars archives) or 30 years if they used the relay(when they activated our relay and caused the First Contact War).
This would put Andromeda somewhere within 500 - 600 years post Reaper invasion.
In the interview...it was stated that the mission was launched the year Cerberus resurrected Sheppard...so while the Council publicly dismissed the Reaper threat as just a Geth attack on the Citadel...they hedged their bets and launched the mission to Andromeda Galaxy to at least insure that civilization would survive.

Ryder and the rest of the ship's crew were in stasis for the Reaper invasion(but not the whole threat). They leave between the events of Mass Effect 2 & 3. One thing that isn't entirely clear, is when/where the game takes place. What we know is that they leave(future tense because it sounds like the game starts before they leave) for the Andromeda galaxy, 600 years away, and their stasis gets interrupted.
I overlooked that last part previously. For all we know, they get awoken after 10 years in who knows where. The developers have said all sorts of vague statements so far.
So, is this an oversight in the story or am i just being paranoid. if Ryder leaves just before ME3 and the reapers have been traveling to the milky way from dark space. How did the reapers not find Arc Hyperion and the other Arcs as they were leaving?
From what I have gathered...they wake up 600 years later..but in the wrong spot..and are separated from the other ark ships.
Your character...is tasked with finding suitable planets for the humans. You use the Tempest which is supposedly larger than SR 2 and is more advanced because not only the Turians but the Assari and Salarians helped build her.
The massive human Ark ship Hyperion will act as the Citadel...until you find the other ships and the colossal Nexus..the command ship for the mission.
The mission was secret and kept off record books....they would have used the furthest mass gate to get them on the journey...plus...finding ships in deep space when you only have a general idea of destination is hard.....space is huge.

Just to give an idea of how vast, it takes light (which travels at 186,000 miles per second) 100,000 years to travel from one end of the Milky Way galaxy to the other. That's just our galaxy, one of an estimated 100 billion galaxies in the universe. The Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years from ours.
It's certainly believable that the Reapers didn't cross paths with the arks while they were on their journey.

Do you guys know if this game will be new player friendly? I haven't played the original games but my girlfriend raves about them, and I'm a console player so can't get access to the older ones. But she has praised the story and choice system, so I'm definitely curious about the new one.
I'm excited about Andromoda. I agree with the first reply man though, that one developer was unprofessional with Save the galaxy from Trump and a pic of him drinking from a coffee that is labeled White Tears, what on Earth ? That would be like if I put up a sign on my business doors that said If you don't support Trump, leave. That's unprofessional. What ever happened to customer service ? Pepsi ceo said that if you support Trump, then stop buying her products. Many felt outraged and the Pepsi stock dropped. Respect the customer, don't be an idiot. Lore wise I liked the 2nd one the best. I loved 3 and the first was good too. I knew about the ending in three and downloaded the directors cut. I loved the ending as it was a happy one. Destroy all reapers is the one I chose.
I doubt that they will. Walking Dead season 2 happened a few years after the first, that's why you could carry over your choices. Andromada is supposed to take place a few hundred years after Mass Effect 3 with a new protagonist, etc. The developers said that 3 was the end of the Shepherd storyline, yet not the end of the Mass Effect series. I'm guessing Andromada is going to go the route of Star Trek Next Generation.
I think so. It's got a whole new galaxy and a whole new cast of characters, so I think it'll definitely be new player friendly. I imagine there will be a couple references to the original trilogy but that's it. It is a brand new story after all.

Oh, it's so much more than that.
But I digress.
Nah Mass Effect 2 was better...had more atmosphere...well in my opinion...lol...but Mass Effect 3 was good.
(S)he is shown to survive in the destroy ending (after credits)
and in a mod.
Rachni would be awesome! Never going to happen, but we can dream.
Do you really believe he's alive though? He breathes... in space... with no one near him... kind of like the beginning of Mass Effect 2...
Kinda sucks that the only way he can live seems to be via mod but I might try it!
ME2's Ending was amazing imo
Relationship status with Rachni Queen....it is complicated.
There will be Elcor. Too many loved them, fans and staff.
He looks almost exactly like my DA: Inquisition character but with shorter hair.

The goodbye scene with her made me nearly bawl my eyes out.
"Relieved. It's good we'll be around for the next game."

After reading on Mass Effect wiki, it seems that the Andormeda Initiative was launched before the Reaper War.

I hope i can make a attractive female charecter.

Regardless of whether it makes sense or not, it would be completely pointless to have that scene if Shepard hadn't lived.

Multiplayer booster packs.

Thank you
Instilling false hope? I mean, sure, even if he was alive, it's very unlikely that he has the resources required to stay alive after that.
Could Ryder been in a pod or something. Alseep through the Reaper threat?

Ok, lets start a little game, guess the average review score of Andromeda.
my guess is it will get an 9/10
Some details on how romance will work in Andromeda.
Mass Effect Andromeda's New Approach To Romance
Space is incredibly vast.

Will the choices carry over from ME3?
No.

So, I'm so excited about this game. Oh Mah Gawd. It's time for more Mass Effect, and best of all, more space exploration.
But, I'm also super excited about the romance options! What are you gals and guys hoping for with the romance options?
Me personally, I'm hoping for another male Turian, and finally a female Turian for either Sara or Scott.
I'm hoping for a male Krogan romance option.
I'm also hoping for a male Quarian and a unmasking of said Quarian (either gender face reveal would be awesome!)
And more than one Asari romance option.
