I strongly believe that its gonna come 13th of December cause before he tweeted "before Xmas!" Date & info soon! meaning its releasing before the 25th and since walking dead's coming the Tuesday before Christmas I'm guessing its the Tuesday before that which is the 13th.
If Telltale manage to get Episode 5 out December 13th they deserve a lot of credit, those guys are really better organized than we thought. I mean I was not expecting Batman season 1 to be done this year unlike what they promised.
I just hope this episode will wrap things up nicely. But I'm well aware of how difficult this is to do.
Hell yeah, dude! I ended up with the Wayne Manor ending, and I've actually never changed my choices in a Telltale game before, but I think I'll do it for Harvey. I'd pretty much restart my life for my bro at this point.
I'm really interested to see the differences in Episode 5 depending on the Episode 4 choice.
Harvey is still my guy, I really don't want to beat his pretty unburnt face.

I think they would have kept silent had things not gone according to plan which seems to be the case. Of course it does not necessarily mean the episode will be any good, but Telltale understand that quality trumps planning, all the time. Delay if you think you have to what matters is how good it can be.
What makes me somewhat sceptical is the sheer amount of arcs Episode 5 will have to bring closure to, it's a daunting task.
I'm kind of hoping they'll keep the subplot about that "favor" Bruce owes The Joker reserved for the second season, if it ever happens. There are too many loose threads to tie up in ep. 5 as it is.

If they somehow fucked up and accidentally uploaded episode 5. OH BOYYYYYY the community would flip! But, since there's a 99.99% chance of that EVER happening I'm crossing my finger for bug fixes and actual FPS optimization.
Watch it just be the prepatch for ep 5 which is 14 gb as we all eat our words about "episode 5 going to be short and non conclusive" just to be the biggest episode ever created.

As freelancepolicefan11 said, they just released a fairly notable optimization patch for Batman. I've noticed that using "Balanced Performance" rendering in the settings gives a massive boost to performance and FPS.
The patch did not add 7.7 Gigs worth of content - I am guessing it just updated old files. I looked at the game's file size, and it is still relatively the same on my end.
I gotta say, Balanced Performance makes the game incredibly smooth. It really feels greatly enjoyable playing this game in this pace.
I will keep replaying to see if they also fixed some bugs. I swear if they release the game like this back in August, I am sure everyone will be happy.
Same here. I bet that if they updated the mobile/console ports to use the equivalent of those settings, that the performance of those ports would skyrocket.

Cool PC patch for you guys. Hope they bring it to us console guys. Frame rate is good for now, but still stutters every now and then. Should run smoother on consoles.
Replaying episode 1 made me teary. It is heartbreaking to see Harvey as a good guy and a friend to Bruce only to see what he has become...
And how Bruce believed his parents are paragons...
Australia still has not rated yet it has to get rated really soon because usually new zeland/Australia rating= episode will release in two weeks then news announcement probably Thursday that seems like when they usually do it. I really want a 13th release. Just imagine what it would be like for the youtubers some only do one video a day and it will get hard for them especially since there is going to be two episodes of TWD.
I highly doubt it'll release the 20th, I think even Telltale knows that would be an overload, even though there hasnt been an Australian classification yet, Im sure It'll still be the 13th.
(Im pretty sure Ep 5 of Walking Dead season 2 was classified less than a week before release)

Releasing it on the 20th would be a nightmare. It would be bad enough releasing it the same day S3 starts, but releasing it the same day their flagship series starts back up with a two episode premiere?
Telltale might be capable of spinning a lot of plates, but I don't think even they could handle three different episodes on the same day.
But who knows? Maybe they're crazy enough to try it.

I'd like to think of it as... quicker release times mean more Telltale games. We really are a pretty lucky fanbase, considering we get at least two new games from them a year

I wish I didn't think that was so plausible.
If Batman releases the same day I'll die. That could potentially be 6 hours that I'll need to finish in a day just to avoid spoilers!

This is the end then, well... Feels like ep1 released yesterday. Nice to see quick releases

Indeed, if they manage to do so

I would hope so as well, unless the final is 2 hours long.
Does anyone know why there is a 7.7 GB update for batman ? Either its a patch which is bigger than all the episodes or episode 5

I swear, Batman keeps getting bigger and bigger every time I see it.
Hopefully this is a patch that will iron out everything. Or this is a Christmas surprise.

"The finale was so big for Batman we had to make an entire season for the finale alone ".
After the patch Batman is now running incredibly smooth for me on balanced performance with high textures

Good to see PC players who were getting trash fps can now play at 60 now! (Although its still low, better than being low with 7 fps)

Console is mostly fine anyway. It does have some stuttering and some weird looking textures, but it's much more playable than it was on PC.
No new update for Xbox 360 but there is a new update for Android devices does it betters the performance?
It's a patch for the Steam version. I have updated the main post to reflect this.

Poor innocent Bruce.
any ideas of how it will end thoughts? maybe batxcat round 2? maybe redeeming harvey/penguin or maybd even vicki
I hope Alfred isn't working for the childern of Arkham
I don't think I could survive that, better stock up on defibrillators.
Just a quick side note, when do you think we'll ever get Batman avatars? Hopefully not the same day we get the Asher avatar.
If you want it before then it'll have to be before F17.

Well all we can do is hope.
I think your're correct considering two episodes of twd come out on the 20th, and I can't see them releasing it on Tuesday.

So there is only one thing that can happen Australia rates this week and news this week.
Batman Unmasked will probably be this week, plus the release dates.
