No, spanking a child on the bottom is cruel and unusual. Taking an adult, putting them in a cage in solitary for years on end before eventua… morelly giving them a lethal injection (or keeping them like that for the rest of their life) is perfectly moral and acceptable /s.
In my opinion, it's not physical abuse unless the parent(s) go overboard and beat their child(ren) for no reason. When I was younger, if I did something that I KNEW I wasn't supposed to do, I would get slapped on the hand. Embarrasing to say, but I received my first whooping at 12. TWELVE! Even then I knew I deserved that punishment because what I did was unacceptable and it needed to be stopped before it continued through my teen years.
I agree. People can't go from one extreme to other. In my opinion it's much better to use language rather than violence, but sometimes that simply doesn't work.

Cue national anthem.
I believe reasoning is the best way, but if everything else fails, you sometimes have to use force. But people shouldn't go too far with that.

No, parents need to beat their fucking kids. They shouldn't beat them in the face, the face isn't okay.
But that ass is all game, boy.
If parents don't beat their children, their kids will end up like him.
It's excessive and unnecessary. It leads a child to believe that his/her parents hate them and can lead to resentment.
