That's so strange. I always thought that first person games are much scarier. First of all people jump in front of your screen in 1st person games and you don't have a 360 view to tell what's going on around you.

I've gotten through Dark Souls 3, and it has me hooked. I wanna play 1 and 2 now, but Demon Souls sounds like my weakness. I've heard it becomes harder the more times you fail/die. 0_0
First-hand experience would be Slender the Arrival. Not only that, I can't get the damn key inside the damn house!! One time I was searching for the key in chapter 1 for so long, Slendy ended up coming into the house. o.O

I don't play any FPS either. That shit is way scarier. I don't play any games that don't have auto aim or hover over and click a button. xD

Basically any Horror game in the middle of the night when I'm home alone and the lights are off and it's windy and stormy outside lol
I wanna play outlast, but from the images and clips I've seen i'd probably be jumpy to it.
I played The Evil Within, that was scary to an extent, got a lot of jumpy moments. And with the Chainsaw guy in the first mission I was bricking it

Had I been asked this over ten years ago, I could name a few. But now, the only one I can think of is the FNAF series.
