Telltale.com Version Missing Updates?

in Batman - The Telltale Series

I have this version of the game. Activated it here on the site and downloaded today. But this version of the game is not supported the same way Steam version is.
I don't know which version of the game i have, not sure how can i check that but i only have AA option in Graphics Settings and resolution. And that's all. It's missing textures quality option and rendering quality. It's also missing performance improvements.

And my question is why? Why can't i have same version and same experince Steam players have? Am i stuck with old build of the game or what?

    Sorry for DP but i forgot to say that performance for me is just horrible even in first few scenes of Episode 1. Fps drops everywhere from 60 to 30 and even below 30. Plus stuttering when scenes are changing.

    People on the GOG forums say the same thing about the GOG versions of Telltale games compared to Steam's versions. Telltale gives full support to the Steam versions, but the DRM-free versions get the short-end of the stick.

    I am never again buying this or GOG version of their games!
