forced to download episodes in-game?

in Batman - The Telltale Series

I played Batman first episode on steam and it convinced me to buy it (I was quite disappointed by Michone, did not even finished first episode - and I lost savegame and was pissed by the lack of cloud support for Borderlands and GoT - so not in a hurry to invest).

First thing I noticed is the Batman through steam was somehow connected to Telltale account but not my account as far I understand.

Then I obtained the full game through Telltale directly: if I knew better, I would not have. I cannot find any practical way to get the full games, all episodes, to be installed without running the game itself. That's very strange. I do not get why the download link would only provide the first episode.

Did I miss something?

    It's the same for me. When i downloaded ~2GB file, it only had first episode installed and i had to download the rest manually.
    Also let me inform you that this version of the game is installing patches manually too and it's not Supported by Telltale like Steam version is because our version of the game doesn't contain latest patches.

    Since no one helped me here i contacted Telltale directly and that's what they told me. Latest patch is still not available for us and we need to wait for patch to be released. They told me that it's coming "soon".

    Imo. they shouldn't sell their games on their sites if they don't want to support them the way they should do. Just because we have this version of the game doesn't mean that we have to deal with bad performance, not being able to change textures quality, rendering quality... etc.

    Don't sell your game on your site and don't make keys available online for your store or give us Steam keys! It's like we are in... 2008!

    Ok, interesting. We definitely need to made these issues public to avoid people to buy from telltale directly, since they only provide degraded support.

    Good that I posted this. I forgot about the whole issue when considering buying the new series. Now I now the good choice is to buy on GOG or Steam.
