    The 7th. That's my niece's birthday. Maybe it's lucky...

Hmmm my guess is August 25th at 1:37pm (at precisely 23.26 seconds into the minute) TTG time, which is sometime on the 26th here...

I have a very clairvoyant, pretty much confirmed guess that we will be seeing the second episode, oh...

....sometime after the ninth or tenth of August....and

....sometime before the 30th or 31st of August.

    :p

As long is it's not August 18, because I have to teach the first day of school on the 19th and I need my sleep...

I'm not really interested in a short delay like 10-15 days, because i want to have my fun nearless bugfree and if they need a little more time to create a better version i will wait and dream. <====( i can't hear you ... " Like a Big Vulcano" :P)

And possible its your fault. All cry I cannot find Where i must go in the forest???. Possible they make the next episode easier.
    PLS dont do that.

Better make it harder like old Monkey island episodes and more fun because it was really sad that the first episode was done after max 2 hours without hints. I want to search sometimes nearly 30 min for an next "Yeah i have found something" situation.

Ah this gives me more time to play through sam n max season 2 :D

Too bad the time of pixel sized objects is over :D
Somehow i feel that's not the kind of search you had in mind, though

2 hours? According to the thread "How long it took you to finish ep1", the vast majority of people spent 4+ hours on it.

It probably took me 2 1/2 - 3. I never got stuck, but I've played point 'n clicks since I was a wee lad so I guess I'm used to it.

Here's hoping Ep 2 comes out sooner rather than later, and that it's a bit harder/longer (and with one less "talk to the hand" joke please).

Tales was pretty damn long. I'd like 2 to be the same length, but with more puzzles.
  • edited August 2009
I don't think those people he finished it in 2 hours really tried to click on everything and used everything with everything to here all the witty dialogue.
  • edited August 2009
I am hoping it is today (August 4) as this is the first Tuesday of the month. [The 1st chapter was released the 1st Tuesday of July.] Thus the next would be September 1, then October 6 and so on. New DVD releases officially release most Tuesdays.

Anything is better than the oh-so-vague "coming soon". Arrrrggghhh!

Indeed, those who completed it so quickly must have missed half the jokes in the game.

Personally, I think they got the difficulty dead on. It's all been said before but all the puzzles in Tales were logical, unlike old point & click games which usually involved trial and error. Try this on that, combine that thing with the other thing.. You were just clicking on everything until something happened. With Tales, and the new Sam & Max games, it at least feels like you're figuring the puzzles out, rather than randomly stumbling on the solution, and for me, that's far more rewarding.

The Sam & Max seasons definitely became harder with the later episodes though, I imagine Monkey Island will do the same.

Yes, and plenty of us who have been playing adventures since 1990 or before enjoyed a nice 4-5 hour game, so I'm not sure what these 2 hour people missed out on...
  • edited August 2009
At a guess, I'd say that they aren't going to reveal any info about Chapter 2 until at least a week after the Bogey Man's release.
They wouldn't want new Monkey Island info overshadowing their latest game.

I hear ya, I first played Maniac Mansion when it came out on C-64 I think in 87-88. Playing with friends until early morning heheh. Of course I was 18, not sure if I can repeat that.

2 hours! Did the person had a walkthrough in his hands the entire time? I must have finished it in about 5-6 hours as well. I remember playing MI 3 and I thought that there was more and harder puzzles. Maybe the first chapter was more of an intro.

That happened to me with strong bad episode 1 for My first day of shool, and episode 5 came up on a birthday party I had to go to that lasted till 9:00 PM, and I had school the next day.

Yeah, I want it before back to school. But hey, a new Weird Al song is out, so I'm good for now. :P

I have played the game in 2 hours and in end effect i played it now ~4 1/2 times now and it's really sad that i already found more then 80% of the jokes in the first play. You simple didnt need to think in this Tales of Monkey island. There isnt something like how i should be able to enter this room-> get a knife cut the aligator rope or move out and enter with an pixelsearch via a window somewhere in the screen :P.
