People are justified to complain about a choice treated as 'major' and supposedly meant to impact the third season. Of course people are going to be peeved off, Kenny and Jane are two of the most discussed characters in The Walking Dead Section of these Forums, there have literally been hundreds to possibly thousands of posts made about them over the past two years - posts that included their appearance in Season Three. TTG knew that many of us hated how they treated our choices and the determinant characters, especially after Season Two and they knew they'd get backlash if they just threw away our choices like that - it makes a large part of Season Two pointless for Season Three if it has little impact on the story.
People just seem to be basing the whole game off of Kenny and Jane and posting rant threads complaining about it, that's pretty close to whining to me.
I had the trouble to log in just to say, I agree with you~
Don't worry, there are people out there having fun with it. I'm sure am~ my Kenny and Jane were already dead anyway so, meh. lol
Idk, I feel like the negative side is always more vocal on the internet, so I'm kinda happy seeing your positive post.
Carley and Doug were determinant and they died. You just can't have important, determinant characters spanning multiple seasons, they have to die.
Tell that to Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Would've been nice to have at least one determinant character make it past a season. I mean, we did have characters like Bonnie, she's determinant and they didn't have to kill her to leave her out of the story.
All I'm trying to point out is that all of this stuff about Jane and Kenny has been blown out of proportion. They never mentioned them in th… moree season, they aren't important anymore.
Edit:
Carley and Doug were determinant and they died. You just can't have important, determinant characters spanning multiple seasons, they have to die.
No, because they're not important to Javier's story, the only reason Clementine is in this season is cause people would freak if she wasn't and because she's an ex-member of The New Frontier.
Okay then. No matter what choices you make in season one, even to have Kenny alone and surrounded by zombies with only one bullet left. He survives, how is this any different.

It won't change. People were vocal with literally every time a determinant character dies, nothing changes because keeping them alive would make the game too long to develop.
But their deaths are important to Clementine's story in season 3. They had to die to leave her with nothing but AJ, who's more of a hassle than he is anything else, and to show how she ended up desperate enough to join The New Frontier.

The only complain I have is how little time the flashbacks had and how it happened so suddenly Specially with Jane: She just left an 11 year-old with a kid...
For me Kenny and Jane was a big problem but I'll get to that.
For me this season is already going down the "who cares about characters when we can shock you and have action" there's to many magic plot problems. There's 100 dead people in this train tunnel. Why? How did our car get crushed by the other car if it was being pulled from the front? It couldn't happen unless we jumped the car directly in front and slid the cable under, which is shown to be no where near. Clem doesn't even feel like she belongs to be in the story.
Back with Kenny and Jane, the flashbacks are so short that Kenny and Jane easily still could have been there.
See, this is the mentality I wish people would have, apparently the way he went out had no meaning but it did. He went out as a hero but not in a super obvious way, exactly like Kenny should have.
Well I did like having a nice moment with Kenny and AJ. We also got to say goodbye to Kenny, which is rare in TWD (lol thinking about it, we get to say goodbye to Kenny like 4 different times). We also get a different scar depending on our ending choice. Other than that, I hated those flashbacks.
I actually have to agree with you Everybody is pissed because Kenny and Jane died, and I don't know if it's because they were both dead long ago for be back in S2, but it doesn't bother me at all. If we ignore the aftermath of the endings, the story is a lot better.
Some people would prefer their choices to actually affect the story in exchange for waiting about a month for the next episode.
Things can change but that's entirely up to TTG in the end, fans can only keep being vocal about improvements. I'm not going to stop being vocal and accept their tactics to mislead us.

How so? From what I recall, she joins the New Frontier even if she's alone. Their deaths pose no actual importance, they aren't even mentioned at all - one flashback and that's it.
But their deaths are important to Clementine's story in season 3. They had to die to leave her with nothing but AJ, who's more of a hassle than he is anything else, and to show how she ended up desperate enough to join The New Frontier.
Why is she an ex-member of 'The New Frontier'? Because they chose to have her be one, they could've chosen to put in the time and effort to actually incorporate the endings into Season Three at least slightly more. Also, whilst this is Javier's story, it's Clementine's as well.
No, because they're not important to Javier's story, the only reason Clementine is in this season is cause people would freak if she wasn't and because she's an ex-member of The New Frontier.
He was implied to have died with a scream actually and then they patched the game and removed his scream.
But honestly, it's not too different, Kenny's survival is never explained and I'm not the only person who thinks his story would've been better finished off then rather than becoming the character that overshadows all the new ones in Season Two.
The thing with Kenny's fate though is that it wasn't directly dependent on the player's choices - it was Kenny's own choice to save Christa/put Ben out of his misery unlike in Season Two where Clementine literally could decide whether or not to kill Kenny before/after he kills Jane and then decide whether she wants to go with Jane/Kenny or leave on her own. It doesn't help that they told us the Endings would shape Clementine's personality - which it really hasn't or that they added an option to simulate past choices, implying the importance of past choices in this Season, only to have those choices amount to no actual impact to the story. It's misleading.
The main difference, by the way, is that Kenny was never determinant in Season One.
Okay then. No matter what choices you make in season one, even to have Kenny alone and surrounded by zombies with only one bullet left. He survives, how is this any different.
It also seemed like both Clementine and Kenny had no way of defending themselves as far as weapons. It made it seem like walkers were a new experience for them.

Trust me, nothing makes me more angry than a herd of walkers randomly appearing for the sake of plot or unneeded/unwanted suspense. Especially no one noticing them until they're a few feet away. Those walkers moans, groans, and growls aren't subtle...
My Clem was alone because I didn't trust anyone to keep her safe! Which didn't bother me that much. However, what about people that got the Wellington ending will Kenny make an appearance?!?!?

That doesn't mean we should just accept how they treat characters. If we want that to change, we have to be vocal.

Not to mention the moment they crash now theres a million walkers.

Getting rid of those fallbacks. Can't be desperate if you have someone to turn to.
I agree. I'm loving this season so far!
