My opinion on ANF (spoilers ahead!)

Hello there fellow players, greetings from Poland. I would love to add my humble opinion about ANF, the characters and plot itself. First off, when they announced that we are going to play as different character than Clem, I was slightly disappointed. Just like many of us, Im really emotionally attached to her, but I decided to wait until the game was released to dedice wether I like Javi or not.
First off, the setup of this game looks like taken from the Fallout universe. Junkyard and Prescott looks exactly like places that would form after some nuclear apocalypse, and first time I saw Tripp I immediately thougt about this sherriff guy from Fallout 3 that we meet after leaving the vault. ;p It looks like communities and switching them freely, just visiting for trades and stuff is a normal thing now, and I really like that idead. It somehow gives a feeling, that humans started restoring the world as they knew it before. This is kinda cool.
Secondly, the flashbacks I didn't really enjoy. Not only because they are poorly written (I've seen all of them on youtube), but because exposition of past events via flashbacks is not a cool way to get us to know what happened. When TT announced ANF, I was hoping that atleast we'll get to know what happened via Javi getting to know Clem more. Right now I get a feeling that the flashbacks were added only to satisfy the fans, that were waiting so long get to know what happened do Jane or Kenny.
It feelst rushed, as I would love to find out whilst the friendship between Clem and Javi was developing, but for now, I think TT tries to bond them together artificialy, via choices like have Clems back when she kills some dude or oppose to Conrad when he wants to sell her out. We have this emotional attachment to Clem, and its obvious that we'll do anything to protect her.. but would a guy who knows her for an HOUR do the same? Like really, c'mon. From the lack of trust when they first meet to sudden friendship an hour later, and Javi even speaking "we are a team". It seems unnatural.
Lastly, Kate being horny for Javi. OMG... This girl wanted to get laid with him even before the apocalypse. I get that her husband was a beater and stuff, but this tense between Javi and Kate was made clearly to get to the point, where David and them are kind of together. And then shit goes down, as I can predict that David will want Kate as his wife again and she'll be torn. If not, why the hell would TT give an option to KISS HER and start pursuing a relationship between them?
To sum up: I kinda enjoy ANF. I dont mind Javi being the main character, but there is a lot of plotholes and things that would happen between two normal people that just met. I agree with most of the posts saying that its really better off when we see Clem, not when we play her. Although Im really unhappy that she isnt #MyClementine from S2 (she rather reminds me of Carver...), Im glad that I can see her again. It all came full circle - in S1 Lee taught her everything, in S2 she was developing herself, and in S3 she is now showing adults how to survive. She's a master now.
Tell me what do you guys think about ANF. And ofc, sorry for my bad English ;)
