How i met your mother spin off
So a "how i met your mother" spin off is in the works and the name of it is "how i met your father" it's supposedly going to be told from the point of view of a female as to how she met her husband. From what i understand this isn't going to have any of the characters from the original series at all. What do you guys think? are you excited?

I thought the planned spinoff was canned like a year ago, did that change recently? But to answer the question, no, I'm not excited if it were to be made, in fact, I won't even watch it. The HIMYM ending is one of the worst series finales of all time, it actually ruined the entire show for me. I used to be a big fan of the show, but ever since the finale, I haven't rewatched a single episode.
I really liked the series at first but after Barney got married i stopped watching completely. I felt they kinda just forced and rushed the latter part of the series. And i've heard from several people the ending was terrible and that has gotten my interest in atleast seeing the end. I would somewhat be interested in a Barney stinston spin off but even then it's kinda farfetched
No not at all, didn't like how i met your mother
So there was a planned spin off called How i Met Your Dad with Greta Gerwig plaing the mother but unfortunately it did not get picked up. The idea is now being revisited with different creators I think called How i Met Your Father which is a better name haha.
i am definitely excited. I really liked the format of HIMYM. As long as they don't try and make it a carbon copy. I think keeping the similar format but giving it a different feel would be bloody good.

Not in the least. I didn't care for how they treated the Mother in the original show.
I doubt it will last long. It seems to be a traditation with these popular sitcoms to get a spinoff that don't really last. Friends got a spinoff that lasted two seasons, That 70's Show had a spinoff that lasted one season, etc.
A considerable reason that How I Met Your Mother was a great show was because we had no idea how it would end. Even though the end result was extremely disappointing, we still weren't show how exactly Ted's love story would end. Whereas here, we would know exactly how it would end.
The series finale of HIMYM can go die in a hole, so can the final season for that matter. Show itself was alright, but I'm not interested in it's spin off.
