I want to use BBCode, can I?

In my bio, I had implemented the

spoiler
code and the [i]italic[/i] code, but it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

    These forums currently use Markdown instead of BBCode. Also, the Profile Bio section does not use any kind of formatting features.
