How would you feel...

...if The Siege of Spinner Cay got the same treatment as The Bogey Man, i.e. we don't know when it's coming out until 2 days before release? Or what's more if it was not announced and then all of us Telltale faithful log on and find out that it is being released "Later today." Would you be angry? Sad?

Tell me your thoughts in here.

I'm not really fussed either way. It'll be out at the same time regardless whether I know when or not.

It's not like i'm cancelling my day to day life for that specific moment. I'll play it when I have time.

I remember how exciting it was to not only hear the news a new Monkey Island was on the way, but the fact it was coming out in a month's time...:D

So thinking purely from that perspective i'd prefer a "It's out in 2 days!!!" announcement:D

For the people who would rather know in advance.. would they still like to know a date even if TTG kept missing is because the episode wasn't finished?

I don't care either way. It comes out when it comes out. Then I play. And I'm happy. The end.

you forgot the part with the pineapple trying to kill your dog. How could you forget that?

I actually prefer shorter release dates. Then I don't have to draw out the suspense, and get it very shortly after I find out its headed my way. I suppose my short attention span might have something to do with this.

I actually prefer to know the release dates way in advance. That way I know when to look forward to the game. But I'm not going to raise hell over it. You know what they say:
A delayed game is eventually good; a rushed game is bad forever...

I agree with Iron Curtain entirely.

That was a wonderful story. Tell me another one.

I suppose in an ideal world I would prefer to know exact dates but I'd also like to know next week's lottery numbers.

Silly poll - how about making reasonable choices?

I don't care when it's out - if it needs longer dev time, then so be it.

And what would your reasonable choices be?

It's not a poll about when you want it to come out, it's about the announcing of the release date.

Five months is nothing to nine years of waiting.

Personally, I'd like to know the release date exactly 14 days in advance.

    That would never happen. :p

I personally prefer to not know the specific release dates for episodes. It can be distracting the day before, thinking about a game that I haven't even played yet. From a business perspective it makes sense giving out the release date though, so if I were in charge of TTG I probably would still give out release dates for episodes.

I'd like to know them in advance. I found it kind of weird how it took so long to announce the Bogey Man.

I think it's nice to know. But I don't really mind. I bought the whole season and as long as I get it every month then that's fine with me. It's nice to come on here and see everyone saying "It's here!" or getting an email saying "It's yours! Download it now!".

But anyway, it hasn't gotten "the Bogey Man" treatment because they already announced the release date as the 20th. There's a big advert saying it on the home page and some blog posts...
