I was wondering how long does it take for the first episode to be free like Minecraft ep 1 and tales from the borderlands ep 1?

Well i got the first episode for free on Steam around Christmas time. I'm not sure if this was for all platforms and if it is still going on but on Steam it was free during Christmas and sometime after.
It'll be a few more months. They also did this with Walking dead seasons 1 and 2, Game of Thrones, Tales from the borderlands, and Wolf among us. They always wait a good amount of months before they release episode 1 for free. It's a smart business move.
