Whatever happened to 'Super Shows'?

The weird melding of a game and tv show format telltale were working on?

Maybe they are still working on it...but I could have sworn they said there would be a super show coming up quite a long time ago..as well as an original IP?

Any news?

I imagine they are still in the radio silence phase, just as they were with New Frontier and Guardians of the Galaxy in the past, and how they also currently are with Game of Thrones Season 2.

People thought Guardians was cancelled after the long radio silence and the Batman announcement, but obviously, Guardians was announced at the end of last year.

Walking Dead: New Frontier (aka Season 3): Announced in July 2014, radio silence until February 2016
Guardians of the Galaxy: Announced April 2015, radio silence until December 2016

  • Wasn't Super show the original IP? Or is that the code name for the new format?

"Super Show" is the name of the TV show/Telltale game format; their first Super Show will be an original IP.

  • I wonder if the new menu systems and such are to get us used to a more TV like presentation?

  • Never thought of it like that...
I still want them to keep "original menus" for their other games though and use the "new Netflix-styled menu" for the Super Show and its seasons (it's probably going to have more than one season).

  • Oh yeah, their series always have good stylised menus. Now, according to Batman and TWD, it seems we'll be seeing this new "Netflix TV" format for a while. :pensive:
